Well, for lack of better title, there we go. Now, the idea of this is that we're pushing Ezra and Peter into the town that my wolves have their house nearby. Yay for amazing explanations!

I shifted into the world, looking around. I was in an alley (where the waypoint was), and there didn't seem to be anyone else around. Good. My arrivals tended to be a little...conspicuous. I probably looked a little conspicuous myself right now, actually. Black sweatshirt, black cargo pants, black boots. Not something the average person would wear, but I didn't feel comfortable when I wasn't wearing all black, cargo pants, and boots. It just made me feel really...exposed. Regular pants didn't have enough pockets for stuff I could use to defend myself.

...Probably didn't look too good that I was dressed like this and coming out of an alley, either. Yeah, I was pretty glad no one else was around.

I started heading though the town towards the wolves' house, Sesria by my side. I perked up a little--as much as I had the capacity to do so, which admittedly wasn't that much. But hey, I was seeing Danae today.

So, going to see all the crazy people plus Colin? Normal.
Seeing someone walking the long driveway to their house?
Not so normal.
School had gotten out about two hours ago, and I'd already decided that instead of getting into my stash of drinks, I'd take Colin at his word and go talk to him to relax. Imagine my surprise when I see someone walking down the normally deserted drive.
"Uh... hey, um... person," I called out, making sure that my hair was concealing my bad eye. "You should probably not be going that way. You've heard the stories of the monsters in the forest, right?"

"Yeah, I've heard them," I said to the girl. "It's fine, though."

I frowned, studying him for a moment. Was it really worth talking this guy out of heading up there? I mean, there were at least a few sensible people at the house. I could let them deal with him.
... right? What was I talking about. Sensible people?
"Are you saying you don't believe the stories, or...?"

"I think they sound kind of far-fetched," I said. I wasn't really sure why that was the answer I'd given, but it was already out.

"Then believe them anyways and head back towards town," I grumbled.
Would it be bad if I just let him be? Sensible... Colin was there, and there was that other girl. She went running a lot, though, so I couldn't count on that one. So there was just Colin.
"It's not a good idea to be going there."
I guess if he insists on going, I'll have to just follow him.

Well, wasn't he a smart one.
"If you insist," I replied and started walking. "Your funeral."
Or I guess, your new life? If you call it a new life. Maybe it's just a different one.
Either way, I'd done all I felt responsible to do. It was their business now.
I wonder if Colin's gonna get mad at me for this.

I shrugged and kept heading towards the pack's house. I knew the "monsters" from the stories well enough. Plus, I had that whole fire and wind control thing going for me if some of them actually got threatening. So there was that.

Once I arrived at the house, I walked in without knocking. I'd basically become a second home to me, minus a few annoying pests. Such as the one that I spotted as soon as I walked in. She was sitting in her favorite place, which happened to be in the cushioned bay window, and had her favorite pastime in her hand, meaning a small romance novel.
As soon as I'd stepped in, she glanced up and gave a sickly sweet smile.
"Oh, it's you."
"I could say the same, but with a bit more disgust."
She rolled her eyes.
"I'm in a good mood, let's be polite today, alright?"
"I will if you will."

I walked through the door after the girl, who must have been part of the pack. Explained why she was trying to deter me, anyway. I looked around, but I didn't see Danae. ...Which meant I was going to have to interact with Trin. Great.

"Is Danae around?" I asked, hoping Trin wouldn't give me any trouble.

I was startled to hear that boy speaking. Okay, I might not be the most observant werewolf ever, sue me. I've got half the eyesight, so I've got half an excuse, right?
"Peter," Trinity greeted, her book being completely discarded. "Well... that depends. You could always just sit here and see if she shows up. Or Dean, Dean could show u-"
"She's in her room," a voice cut in.
Instantly spinning around, I couldn't help the relief that flooded through me.
"Colin!"
He nodded at me, shooting Peter a sympathetic look at the same time.
"Ignore Trin. You know where Danae's room is, don't you?"

Thank goodness, the one other werewolf in this pack I actually liked. Colin was a decent guy.

"Yeah," I answered with a nod. "Thanks."

I headed to Danae's room.
