- intro stuff:
PRP over the whole integrating supernatural students and human students in a school idea. That's about the summary I'm gonna give. I'm tired, sue me.
Name:
Age:
Gender:
Species:
Appearance:
Small Bio: *optional*
Political Stance: (If they agree with the integration)- bells:
Ima just post a bunch of characters then you can choose who you want to chat with, cause I have tons for this world. Who knows, maybe we'll need random characters to push the plot along, lol:
Name: Chloe
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Species: Cat-shifter (Familiar decent)
Appearance: Chloe is at average height, with a slender, rather flat build. Lacks curves (her sister, Mallory, jokes that she's a very, very late bloomer) and has black hair that falls just past her shoulders in rather straight strands. her eyes are a grayish-blue shade
Small Bio: Is a rather quiet, introverted girl. Most believe it's because of the fact that her sister and her grew up in foster-care and she's been alone a lot since her sister moved out on her own about two years ago. For Chloe, the matter is simple. School is a place to study, outside of it is meant to socialize. It's a wonder to her that no one else understands this. She doesn't have a problem speaking her mind to people, she'd just rather do it when she isn't supposed to be studying.
Political Stance: She's fine with it. She'd rather not have to be homeschooled like a lot of her kind are.
Name: West
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: Witch
Appearance: Rather tall for his age with a stocky, muscular build. Extremely dirty blonde hair, more brown than blonde. Rather uncontrollably curly, not that he bothers to fix it anyways. Typically wears tee-shirts and jeans. Dark blue eyes and rather freckled.
Small Bio: West, and his hummingbird familiar Liri, come from a rather long line of witches. He's never known anything different and was rather surprised when his parents suggested he take up the offer to spend his senior year at this newly integrated academy.
Political Stance: All for it.
Name: Arnelle & Arielle
Age: 16
Gender: Male & Female
Species: Human
Appearance: Arnelle and Ariel are pretty identical twins for being opposite genders. Pitch black hair that is cut short beyond the slide-bang that falls just above his right eye for Arnelle. Same color hair that is cut just at her chin for Arielle with straight bangs across her forehead. Blue eyes and rather slight stature, just below average height. Both wear black pants with green, collared shirts and always have their black sunglasses on them, as well as bags full of unidentifiable tech.
Small Bio: The twins come from a group of witch/supernatural hunters and have been raised for the job since they were old enough to understand what they were being told. Both are really, really smart for their age tech wise and have a bit of a hatred for other species. Managed to squirm their way into the school through government connections in their group.
Political Stance: Completely against.
Tada! Lots of characters! Choose away!
- momo:
Name: Valerie
Age: 17
Gender: female
Species: human
Appearance: bright neon blue hair that is clipped short and choppy, barely covering her ears, the front spiking up away from her forhead. She is kinda going for a punk vibe.
She stands at around 5'4" and has a very slender frame. She dresses in mostly black with heavy boots and a leather jacket.
Small Bio: *optional* family was killed by a vampire raid. She was out of the house at the time. She has a very negative view of supernatural, but is very soft spoken so unless someone bothers her and initiates a argument with her.
Political Stance: hell fucking no
Name: Oreo
Age: 16
Gender: male
Species: dragon shifter
Appearance: spikey black hair that is shorter on the sides and spikes up along the top.
Stands at 5'10" and is about average weight with some lean muscle. Has patches of black scales along his skin, like on his neck arms stomach and back and legs and the tops of his hands and feet.
Wears jeans and plain colored t-shirts with button downs thrown over top.
Small Bio: *optional*
Political Stance: (If they agree with the integration) yep! He's a pretty chill guy
- bells: first post:
Chloe hitched her bag over her shoulder, staring at the dozen feet of sidewalk left heading up to the doors of the school. There were dozens of students milling around the area, like she was doing, but none of them had actually entered the school grounds. Reason most likely being the line of picketing protesters lining either side, only held back by a fence manned by uniformed policemen. Many of the police themselves shot her looks that made her ears press against the top of her head as she debated what to do.
As if making the decision for her, a boy with a bright colored object buried in his hair stepped forward, mumbling something under his breath. She could barely make out what it was, but it sounded like something along the lines of 'I'm going, I'm going.'
As if not seeing any of the protesters, the boy broke away from the rest of the hesitant students and strode forward. With that the ice was broken and many students scampered in after him. Uncertain, Chloe hung back, her eyes settled on the gates.
How exactly was something like this supposed to work when even the police didn't seem to want to see it happen?
- momo:
Valerie looked around at the scene taking place around her. it's the perfect opportunity for her. Like hell if it was. Nothing about this seemed opportune or perfect. Not the police or the protestors or the kids who didn't seem to want to he there. She didn't even want to be there. On what grounds did she even support this? That's right! She didn't, her 'family' did.
The crowd of kids started moving around her after one approached the school, and a boy behind her, some kid with this weird scale rash, clipped her shoulder, practically shoving her into the pack of kids moving towards the campus.
"Hey!" She shouted at him. He just turned back and winked at her.
"You'll thank me later." He waved at her with two lazy fingers before disappearing into the mob.
Like hell if she would.
- bells:
- It took her almost twenty minutes to find her classroom. By then she'd thoroughly confused herself and wondered how they could even call this school a school. No one seemed to know where they were going, and there was no upper-classmen or teachers to ask, because everyone was new. By the time she'd settled into her seat for her first class of the day, dutifully titled "Mending the Gap 1", Chloe had come to two, certain, opinions.
One: There wasn't sane, pure-blooded human in the place that didn't seem to look like they wanted to bolt, or like they wanted to stop every supernatural walking down the hall and question them about every part of their lives. What happened to calm, grounded, people?
Two: She would have to work extra hard to keep focused at this school. Several of the less... introverted, boys had actually whistled at her a few times, and she'd heard a few calls of "here, kitty-kitty."
Like hell she was going to respond to that.
Glancing around the classroom, she spotted the boy who'd been the first to enter the gates earlier seated towards the front of the classroom. Almost instantly she was able to identify him as a witch, due to the small bird perched on his desk. No wonder it'd sounded like he'd been talking to himself earlier.
- momo:
Valerie took a seat towards the back of the class room and kicked her feet up ontop of her desk. She looked around the room and glanced at everyone else around her. The boy who shoved her forward earlier took a seat towards the window and winked over at her before turning to talk to someone else.
How could he be so calm about this? Nothing about this situation seemed calming, but he didnt seemed offset by anything that was happening.
- bells:
- Right before the bell rang, their teacher suddenly walked in the door, a bright smile on her face.
"Well, looks like more of you are here than I expected," she mused aloud. "Half a classroom, not bad at all."
Chloe frowned, studying their teacher curiously. She doubted that the woman was a human, so there had to be some hint towards what she was. Or, perhaps the woman would just tell them. They weren't supposed to have to hide here, after all.
"So, here's the thing," the woman continued, dropping her bag next to her desk and perching on the edge of the front of it. "Honestly, I expect this to be difficult. It's like Little Rock all over again, only a lot of you are a bit more dangerous than the kids that were being attacked back then. So... let's thing about it like this. I'm going to do my best to keep things calm, you guy should do your best to approach me with any problems that you might be having with your classmates. This is the only class you'll have every day, after all."
Their teacher paused, letting all of this sink in as she grabbed a paper from beside her on her desk.
"Well... I'm splitting you into groups, now. If you have a problem with your groups, please approach me in private with a valid reason- nothing less. Now, Group one. Chloe, Valerie, West, Darren, and Oreo."
- momo:
- Oreo looked away from his conversation when his name was called. Groups huh. He looked across the room to the other people in his group. This could only end so well. Oreo scopped up his bag and walked over to where some of the others were.
"Hello." He greeted with a charming smile. "I'm Oreo."
"Like the cookie?" One of the girls asked, making a face at him.
"Yep. And I'm just as sweet."
- bells:
- Their teacher watched as the students rearranged themselves into the groups the best they could, catching each reaction with a careful eye so that she could hopefully put a name to a face, and also pick up on those who had yet to arrive- if they were ever planning to.
"Take a good look at those around you," she commented after she'd finished listing off the groups. "The seats you took? Those will be your seats for the school year. These groups will make or break your grade in this class, and you'll be with them during study hall, too. In case you didn't know, that takes place in this classroom. You'll be returning here after your second class every day. Which is why it is critical that you inform me of any problems within your groups."
Chloe sunk a bit lower in the seat she'd taken, looking over her partners with a bit of wariness. Her grade depended on them? The girl looked anything but pleased by this, and while the other two boys seemed fine about it, the third had yet to even show up.
How wonderful.
"Now, I'll give you about ten minutes to get to know each other. Good luck."
The boy who she'd noticed talking to a bird earlier, offered a hesitant smile in response to the teacher's words.
"Nice to meet you," he told Oreo, deciding he'd have little problem remembering at least his name. "Oh, and I'm West and..." here he paused and held his hand up to his messy head of curls. The small bird, a hummingbird, detached itself from the mess and perched on his hand.
"And this is Liri."
I was right, Chloe decided. He's a witch.
- momo:
- "I'm Valerie." The girl muttered, kicking her feet back up onto her desk. Oreo noticed that she didnt turn to face anyone.
"I'm a dragon.... if anyone cares. Cool, i know." He gave a cocky grin and looked around. "If anyone wants to go for a flight I hear I'm a great ride." He winked over at Chloe and got a snort of disgust from the other girl who said her name was Valerie.
- bells:
- Chloe stared at him for a second, as if trying to decide whether or not someone would actually say that, before giving a small shake of her head. Her ears pressed against the tops of her hair, betraying the fact that while her face might not have shown it, she did feel slightly uncomfortable in this position.
"No thanks."
At the same time, West chuckled, whether at Oreo or at something the bird had said, Chloe wasn't certain. Pulling her attention away from that matter for a moment, she intertwined her hands on her desk and sighed.
"If you can't tell what I am, you're blind," she commented lightly. "I'll leave it at that."
- momo:
- "So, we have a cat, and a dragon." Valerie muttered, arms crossed over her chest, still not looking at the others. "This is just great. A wonderful group to be shoved into."
"I dont think it's that bad." Oreo countered, giving a small shrug. He looked over at the other guy who hadnt said much of anything yet. "Hey, what are you? If you dont mind me asking. And Val, care to disclose your species?"
"I'm fine with not disclosing who I am." Her tone was harsher than she meant it to be, but that wasnt quite her fault. She was shoved into a school with a bunch of supernatural kids that she didnt want to know or get along with. She definitely didnt have to get along with them.
- bells:
- West glanced at Oreo when questioned, his eyes having previously been settled on Valerie with a bit of surprise.
"Ah, a witch," he answered simply. "Hence, Liri. She's my familiar."
I was right, Chloe thought to herself.
"We have another person, right?" West continued, furrowing his brow as he tried to recall the name. "Darren... I believe?"
At that same moment, the door opened, a figure stepping in with their hands shoved deep in their pockets. His shaggy, black hair fell in front of his eyes, his clothes, like the rest of him, looked like they'd been put together in a few minutes, his jacket hanging loose and unsnapped, his slacks wrinkled. Their teacher glanced up from her papers and gestured him over. After a few seconds of conversation, she gestured towards where Chloe and the others were sitting. Unceremoniously, the figure walked over and dropped himself in one of the seats, just as ungracefully dropping his bag next to it.
- momo:
- Valerie glanced up when the new guy dropped down in the seat beside her. She shifted away from him and clenched her jaw. Damn she hated this.
"Awesome. Our last member!" Oreo grinned over at the guy. "I'm Oreo, the dragon. We have West the witch who has Liri his familiar. And Chloe the Cat. And Val who hasnt disclosed what she is yet. You must be Darren." He held his hand out to Darren for a hand shake, a welcoming grin still on his face.
- bells:
- Darren studied Oreo's hand for a moment before shifting his gaze up to the person in question. His bangs fell out of his face with the movement, revealing crimson tinged, muddy brown eyes. Without a word, he shook Oreo's hand, then opened his mouth after dropping it.
"She smells like a human," he answered simply, his lips twisted up with anticipation of her reaction, seeing as if she hadn't shared, he doubted that she wanted to. "And yeah, I am."
- momo:
- Valerie watched the new guy and tensed up when she saw his eyes. Her raction wasnt as calm as she would have liked it to be. Instead of staying seated and not reacting like she had hoped she would, she nearly jumped out of her chair and pulled a stake out from her bag and narrowed her eyes at him.
"Vampire." She growled.
"Ah. Awesome.... bit threatening, but still cool." Oreo shrugged and dropped his hand, still smiling. "Val, he isnt going to do anything to you in the school. At least, he would be dumb to. I would drop the stake and sit back down."
"Hell no."
- bells:
- Darren glanced up at her, amusement clear in his expression. Instead of really reacting, he simply leaned back in his desk and crossed his arms behind his head.
"Hm... dumb or not, if I was planning on doing anything, couldn't I have done it before I introduced myself?" he drawled, he tone obviously a bit mocking. "Or, better yet, I could have purposely kept my species hidden, I'm quite good at that, you know. Yes, I'm a vampire. So scary. Yes, I do consume human blood. Oh, and let's not forget the clincher here, yes, I am considered for the most part, a pureblood. I believe you should know, the only thing a reaction like that does for you is make you look more appetizing, the blood being rapidly rushed through you veins by your sped up heart-beat is simply wonderful."
Chloe blanched, his speech even getting to her a little.
"So, perhaps you'd like to take his advise and sit back down? I'd hate to cause an incident on my first day, that'd be no fun. It'd just cause a lot of unnecessary trouble- the paperwork to get in here was killer."
- momo:
- Valerie didnt move from where she stood, her hand still gripping her stake. "I'd hate to cause you or any of your kind unnecessary trouble." She growled at him, eyes narrowed.
"Can we please calm the hostility?" Oreo stood up and took the stake from Valerie and guided her back down to her seat. "If you have a problem with him, talk with teach. Get a new group, i dont know. But lets not try and kill anyone right now because that is quite literally the opposite of what this school was designed for. .... wow I'm bad at words today. Sorry, that made so little sense." Valerie had to be forced back into her seat and stayed as far away from darren as she could.
"Do you know what his kind is like?" She asked Oreo, snorting with disgust.
"I think he summed up his kind pretty decently." Oreo shrugged and took a seat again.
- bells:
- "Ah, I think she's referring to the side-effect my kind's need to drink blood has," he commented, that amusement still clear in his expression. "You know, dead humans and the like."
Chloe was starting to wonder if the vampire wanted to die.
"Don't worry, I got told that if anyone turned up dead or anemic, I'd be in trouble," he finished, his amused expression growing. "Well, that's if it was involuntary, of course. There are humans who simply love being bitten. Have you ever tried it?"
Chloe dropped her head on her desk, deciding then and there that the chance that escaping this class without a failing grade would be difficult. West on the other hand looked like he was trying to decide whether or not resulting to extreme measures to silence the vampire would be a bad idea.
- momo:
- Valerie growled at him, her hands clenched at her side. "I'm going to kill you, I hope you know. Rip your fucking head off."
"O-Kay then... And now we have death threats. You two should separate." Oreo looked between them.
"His kind are murders!"
"And what would killing him make you?" Oreo countered her calmly, looking her in the eye.
"He doesn't have a soul."
"That's debatable."
- Bells:
- Ignoring Oreo, Darren put on a slightly mocking, surprised expression.
"I don't have a soul? Oh, how horrible. No wonder I have no guilty feelings about the urge to reciprocate your threats, although I suppose if I did they wouldn't be threats," he informed her, grinning as he paused for a moment, the smile showing off his pointed teeth. "They'd be promises."
West sighed, glancing down at Liri, then muttering something under his breath. Instantly Darren stiffened, shooting a heated glare in West's direction. He opened his mouth to snap something, then scowled even further when no words came out.
"A spell of silence," West commented, his tone weary. "I'd rather not have to listen to anymore of this. It's annoying."
- momo:
- Valerie bit her tongue after Darren was silenced, not wanting to have something similar happen to her. She turned away from the vampire and pulled out a book to flip through.
"Alright, now that we have all met each other.... how are we all doing? Good? Good. Glad. ....You do know we will have to get along if we want to pass this class?" Oreo looked around and grinned at them. "And I for one am all about passing this class and getting along with each other."
- bells:
- Chloe lifted her head up at this, her ears flattened against her head.
"I have never failed a class before," she informed him, her tone uncompromising. "I will not fail this one if I can help it."
Her tail flicked, as if to add it's opinion to this comment. She spared the other three a glance, her lips twisted down into a frown. There was no need to add onto that, that she'd always been home-schooled up till this point.
West shrugged, his own opinion on the matter.
"I don't have a problem with any of you, so don't go looking at me to be causing issues to keep us from passing," he commented lightly. "Liri here wouldn't let me hear the end of it if I did fail a class."
Darren on the other hand, was just staring daggers at West. It wouldn't take much to guess that he was rather pissed.
- momo:
- "I dont care if I fail. I refuse to get along with him." Valerie snapped, not even looking up from her book.
"Just one class, you cant even force yourself to get along with him for that amount of time?" Oreo questioned, amazed by her inability to be civil.
"I dont care." Well this girl was stubborn, just their luck.
- bells:
- As if to voice his opinion on the matter, Darren offered her his middle finger. Chloe groaned, dropping her head on her desk once again.
"Wonderful," she grumbled. "Just wonderful."
- momo:
- Valerie caught the middle finger from the coffee of her eye. "What? Did I offend your soulless ass? So sorry."
"Val..." He groaned.
"Sorry, not sorry." She flipped a page of her book, still not looking up at the group. "And it's Valerie. Not Val. Never Val."
"Right. Sorry?" Oreo sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
- Bells:
- Chloe looked between all of them, then sighed, running possiblities through her mind. Finally, she settled on something.
"Valerie, how about this? You don't have to talk to him, or sit by him, you just have to talk and cooperate with us three. He won't talk to, or sit by you, or West will use the silence spell on him to keep that from happening. You can ignore his existence, just in turn, try to help the rest of us get our work done. We can deal with him and everything should go smoothly. Hows that sound?"
- momo:
- Valerie looked around the group and sighed. "Fine. Fine, fine, fine! But if he speaks or harasses me I'm done." She have Darren a pointed glare and turned to face the others. "I don't have a problem with you three. At least, not really." Supernatural beings weren't exactly her forte but these guys were better than any vampire scum from what she could tell.
- bells:
- Pleased, Chloe relaxed a bit, an almost friendly smile appearing on her lips as her ears perked up.
"Great."
West, seemingly relieved, waved a hand, releasing the spell on Darren. The person in question instantly leaned towards the witch, his expression calm, but the feeling he gave off was anything but.
"I'll behave, for now," he informed him, his words obviously not just met for West alone. "You do that to me again, however, and I won't be feeling so nice. I don't like magic."
West put his hands up, his entire body tense.
"Understood. I'll keep my magic to myself, as long as you keep your hands to yourself."
Darren snorted, relaxing in his seat once again as he turned his attention to the others.
"Fine. The evil, soulless creature will be careful not to hurt anyone," he replied lightly. "As much as he hates the idea of leaving any living creature alone. You know how hard it is to keep from killing and maiming things."
Chloe honestly couldn't tell if Darren was being serious or not.
"I'll be good," he finished.
West's expression was highly skeptical, but for now he decided to leave it be.
- momo:
- "I'm glad that's settled." Oreo clapped his hands together and looked around at them. "Everyone keeps their hands to themselves and we get out of here with a passing grade. Sound good? Sounds great to me in all honesty."
"Fine." Valerie muttered.
- bells:
- Within a moment of the group's uneasy alliance, the teacher clapped her hands, drawing attention to herself.
"Well, now that you now each other, I'll let you guys know your first assignment. Yes, groans all around. I'm horrible, giving an assignment on the first day of class. I promise that it's not that bad. All you need to do is to learn and record three things you have in common with each of your classmates. Once you have that, keep a copy of it for yourself. Within the next week I'll be assigning a person within your group that you're to write a paper about. The idea behind this project is to get to know each other better. After all, this class is meant to make everyone understand each other and get along. Well, get to it, find out those details."
- momo:
- "Well, I'm an animal. So, Chloe and I have that in common." Oreo started, looking around the group, a grin still on his face.
"I doubt I have much in common with you guys." Valerie muttered, looking away.
Kylee walked into the class room much later than she hoped she would. Coming to school took longer than she expected it would, and Neo didnt make it easy for her to leave the house this morning. IT seemed like he did everything in his power to make her late.
When she walked in, she noticed that the teacher was giving some assignment to everyone else.
"Uh...Sorry, I'm so late. Things were really hectic this morning and I had trouble getting here...." She started to explain, gripping onto the strap of her bag.
- bells:
- Their teacher, Ms. Reed, was once again pulled away from the papers she'd been studying. With a small sigh, she waved off the excuse and shuffled through the papers she'd sat aside on her desk.
"No mind that," she told her. "Half of the class is absent, at least you showed up. Your name, please?"
Chloe frowned, her ears lowering just a little as she thought over the idea.
"You can't just say you have nothing in common with us," she informed Valerie, her tone carefully avoiding betraying her annoyance with the girl's continuing attitude. "If you want to go to the most basic level, we're both female. That's one thing. You and Darren have something in common, you seem to dislike someone without any valid reason. That's one for the two of you. That's with me not knowing anything about you at all. At least give this a little effort."
- momo:
- "Kylee. Kylee Ray." Kylee introduced herself nodding once after saying her name. "Is there someplace I should sit?" Neo circled around her and surveyed the room. If someone would give her an off look, he would give a low growl.
"I dont want to be here. Anyone else in agreement with that?" Valerie asked, looking around the group. "There, I'm participating." She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest and sighed.
- bells:
- Chloe stiffened, her ears laying completely flat against the top of her head. It took all of the will power she had not to snap a response to Valerie. Instead, she rolled her eyes and glanced at the others as she dug a piece of paper out of her bag and jotted down the two things she'd found with the others so far.
"I'm with you on that," Darren drawled. "Lookie there, you have two things in common with the soulless monster."
Ignoring Darren, Chloe focused on West and Oreo.
"Well... we can probably all agree that we want to pass this class," she decided slowly.
Ms. Reed nodded, gesturing over towards a small group on the opposite side of the room than Chloe and the others.
"Over there," she told her. "Your group can introduce themselves and let you in on what's going on."
- momo:
- "You said you wouldnt talk to me!" Valerie snapped at Darren.
Oreo looked around them and sighed. "Well, i for one want to be here. But passing this class would be nice." He looked down at his sheet. This was all so confusing, trying to find three things in common with each of them.
Kylee nodded and walked over to the group, Neo following after her. She took a seat and put her bag on top of her desk. "Uh.... Hi there." She muttered softly, looking around. "I'm Kylee. You guys are....?"
- bells:
- Darren smirked, waving one hand dismissively in the air.
"Oh, did I?" he asked. "Sorry, although I have to question why you thought a soulless monster would keep his word."
Chloe purposely ignored the two annoying members of their group- focusing on Oreo's words.
"So, the three of us have something in common," she decided. "We need a few more things..."
She pursed her lips. West glance between them, Liri chattering to him in his head.
"We're all three supernaturals," he suggested lamely.
- momo:
- "I swear to god i will kill you." Valerie growled at him, hands in small fists on her desk. Oreo sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"Would you two please.... either get a room or just be civil?" Valerie snorted at him and turned to face the others.
"I think all four of you are supernaturals. Cat, Dragon, Witch, soulless douchebag." She pointed out, gesturing to each of them as she spoke.
- bells:
- Darren's smirk only grew as he ignored the others- for the most part.
"You heard him, we should get a room."
Chloe dropped her head into her hand, a sigh escaping her lips.
"This is going to be a long year..." she mumbled, then rose her voice, never raising her head. "So we have that. I've got three things in common with others. Where are you guys?"
West glanced at his own paper, having pulled it out at some point while the others were talking.
"Well, if I count both Oreo, Darren, and I being male, then both Oreo and I wanting to pass class, then the four of us being supernaturals, I have three as well."
Arielle glanced up from the paper before her, eyes flickering over the person that had joined her and Arnelle. After a moment she shrugged, gesturing between her twin and herself.
"Arnelle and Arielle," she answered shortly. "Pleasure to meet you."
- momo:
- Oreo looked over at Valerie. "Well.... Im really not sure what I have in common with her.... beyond that we are taking this class."
"Assume we have nothing in common."
"....right."
"And i will never 'get a room' with you." She snarled at Darren and glared at him with what could only be described as pure hatred.
"Right....long year. Super long year....."
- bells:
- Darren's smirk stayed in place as he simply relaxed back in his chair, shoving both hands in his pockets.
"That's a shame, really," he practically purred. "You know, they say there's a thin line between love and hate, and it makes for one hell of a s--"
"Stop talking," Chloe cut in, her head still in her hand. "Just... don't put that image in my head."
West put a hand over his mouth to keep from laughing despite the situation, the little cat's face had turned red, her ears pressed to the top of her head. If it wasn't for the fact that he didn't necessarily want to have an almost pureblooded vampire pissed at him on his first day, he may have considered simply putting the silence spell back in place.
- momo:
- Oreo looked over at Darren and just laughed and then glanced over at Val who was red in the face, either from anger or embarrassment.
"Well, I figured out something Valerie and I have in common. We both want to sleep with Darren." That wasn't the nicest thing to say, but the girl had gotten on his last nerve. His comment struck a nerve with her it seemed because a few seconds after he finished speaking she was launching herself across the table at him, planting a forceful punch on his face. He growled at her, ready to attack back, for as nice of a person he was, he didnt enjoy getting punched in the face.
Kylee looked between the two, her familiar jumping up onto her desk with ease and curling up ontop of the hard surface. "Pleasure is Mine. I'm Kylee." She took a seat and reached out to pet her familiar gently.
- bells:
- Within a second of Val throwing herself forward- the two calmer members of the two staring at the scene in surprise- Darren had shifted to his feet in one, smooth motion and plucked the furious girl off of Oreo without as much as a moment of hesitation. It was as if the weight of an entire human being was equivalent to that of a feather.
"Now, now," he replied with a rather amused tone. "No reason to get pissed. It's a perfectly reasonable reaction to my presence to want to sleep with me. He was only acknowledging the obvious."
Chloe could only stare.
This is what they had to work with?
The twins glanced at the familiar, both managing to keep their instant distaste under wraps. Arnelle, through simply dropping his gaze back to the paper he'd already scribbled his and Arielle's three items onto, Arielle through offering a faint, albiet fake, smile.
"And I'll assume that since you have an animal with you in class, that's your familiar?" she questioned. "You're a witch?"
- momo:
- Valerie gave a strangled scream as she was pulled off of Oreo, causing the class to look in her general direction. "Let go of me!" She struggled in his grasp, reaching behind her to claw at his hands.
Oreo stood up straight and looked around the room and then back at her. "...Sorry." He apologized to the group. "I uh... Shouldn't have said anything like that." He took his seat once again and rubbed his jaw.
Kylee nodded at the other two. "Yeah. This is neo, his bark is worse than his bite. All talk really. What about you guys?" She heard a scream and looked back to see some guy picking up a girl off of some dragon kid. Well this class was just wonderfully interesting.
- bells:
- Darren chuckled, simply continue to hold her in the air despite her struggling, as if the entire matter was more amusing simply because she did.
"Calm down," he instructed. "Maybe then I will. Oh, and I suppose if you say please."
Chloe shot an uneasy glance towards their teacher who was eyeing the group, as if measuring the matter and whether or not she should step in.
Arnelle glanced towards the group, Arielle simply shrugging in response to the witch's question.
"Humans," she answered simply.
- momo:
- Valerie growled at him and crossed her arms in front of her chest once she noticed that the room was watching them. "Please put me down, you fucker." She said softly, practically growling the words.
Kylee nodded at them slowly, Neo nuzzling her hand. "Thats cool! You guys excited for this school? I am, but I think i'm one of the few."
- bells:
- Darren smirked, raising a brow is he did.
"Is the height of human manners?" he questioned. "If so, I have to wonder how I can really be termed the horrible one here. Even I know how to politely ask a question. I'll even offer an example of how to be polite: if you'll ask politely, my dear, I'll put you down."
Chloe sighed. Obviously, this is going nowhere fast.
- momo:
- Valerie kicked her feet a few times and took a deep breath. Through clenched teeth she muttered "Please, down."
Oreo continued to rub his jaw a few times and looked over at Valerie and Darren. "Darren, I think thats as nice as she can as you."
- bells:
- Darren put on a thoughtful expression, as if musing over whether or not she'd managed to reach the level he'd been requesting. After a moment, Darren smirked and released her without warning.
"If you insist."
Chloe put her head down on her desk and left it there. If this was her group, she was going to fail.
- momo:
- Valerie fell to the ground with a thud and groaned. She rubbed her butt and glared up at him. "You asshole." She growled at him and pulled herself up from the ground. "You know, fuck this." She brushed her clothing off and grabbed her bag from the ground, getting ready to leave.
"Wait! You can't just... You cant leave." Oreo protested.
"Watch me." She snapped back at him, walking to the front of the room.
- bells:
- Darren snickered, shoving both hands in his pockets as he returned to his seat in as smooth of a motion as when he'd moved from it the first time.
"Well, that was boring," he announced, making sure to pitch his voice so it would easily reach her ears. "Just let her go, dragon-boy, doubt she's worth it. Humans give up so easily."
Chloe simply groaned, head still against her desk. Darren's smirk grew as he patted the back of her head, not really caring when she instantly slapped his hand away without looking up.
"This is just great," she mumbled.
West simply sighed, his own agreement as he stared after Valerie.
'Your luck amazes even me, Liri commented, pulling on a lock of his hair. What a group.
- momo:
- Oreo groaned into his hands and sighed. "Would someone please grab her? It's the first day, the first day of classes. We cant just let her quit, it would just... this would be a failure, this entire experience would be a failure and thats not worth it."
- bells:
- Darren cocked a brow, stretching his arms up so he could brace them behind his head. His expression never flickered from the smug amusement it'd settled in.
"She didn't seem keen on making the situation work," he pointed out. "Hardly the sort of person cut out for all of this."
"And you are?" Chloe muttered against her desk.
He shrugged.
"I'm the token asshole," he replied. "It doesn't matter if I am or not, I'll still be here."
"Because that made a hell of a lot of sense," she mumbled once more. "I vote he brings her back."
West, his expression sheepish as the moment he'd opened his mouth Darren shot him a cold expression, nodded his agreement with the idea.
"I highly doubt she's going to listen to reason," he commented, as if to explain his choice.
"In what reality do you live in that I'm going to volunteer to bring back some vampire-prejudice chick?" he retorted with a roll of his eyes. "Good luck with that one."
- momo:
- Oreo groaned into his hands and sighed softly. "I agree with the others. You should go get her." He listened slowly to what Darren had said and scoffed. "Maybe you'll go get her just to get under her skin more? Maybe talk to her about how you aren't actually the son of satan? although, he might actually be in our class somewhere..."

Re: Raleigh Academy
"I'll have you know," Darren drawled in response. "He isn't. I'm rather good friends with that guy, he's damn good at cards."
Not for the first time since he'd opened his mouth, Chloe wasn't certain if the boy was joking. As she despaired over her horrible luck at being landed with this group, Darren made a show of shoving his seat back and grabbing his bag from beside the table.
"I suppose I can go after her," he added on. "Now that I think of it, it's an excellent excuse to get out of class. If you don't see me again, assume she either staked me or I decided to be done with this hell hole."
That said, he turned and started out of the classroom, ignoring the teacher's protest.
"... what a wonderful duo of people," West slowly noted as Chloe simply dropped her head on her desk once more.

Re: Raleigh Academy
Oreo blinked at what Darren said. Once he left, he turned to the others and stared blankly at them. "Think he would get me into one of those poker games? I hear those demonic kids are loaded... And yeah those two are.... Interesting. I wonder when they'll start dating."
Valerie walked a little ways down the hall before stopping at a row of lockers. She stared at them for a few seconds before kicking at the wall of metal, letting out her pent up frustration. She heard the door to the class she just left open and ceased her fit, the locker in front of her somewhat dented and her foot throbbing.

Re: Raleigh Academy
Chloe's ears twitched, her face never lifting from the desk as she mumbled something undecipherable against it's surface. West furrowed his brow, then nodded his agreement, whether it was to her or Liri was uncertain.
"I'm not quite sure if that's a good question," he replied simply. "I'd imagine the better question is 'how soon will one of them try to kill the other?'"
Darren eyed the locker, amusement lighting up his face as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He'd already situated his bag over his shoulder as he'd walked out of the classroom.
"What did that thing ever do to you?" he questioned.

Re: Raleigh Academy
Oreo chuckled and nodded. "Well...true. But maybe something will happen between them after the attempted murder. Who knows." He shrugged and looked between the rest of the people at the table. "Do we get an award for being to first group to crumble?"
Val glared at him and crossed her arms over her chest. "It's your locker." She had no idea if it was his locker or not, but she doubted that he knew which locker was actually his. And maybe she guessed right.

Re: Raleigh Academy
Chloe picked her head up just the slightest degree.
"Hopefully, as I really don't want to fail this class because of them," she grumbled.
West shrugged. "The teacher didn't scold us or run after them, so that's something at least."
Darren snorted. "I highly doubt that. You're human and we just met-- no way for you to find it in a number of seconds."

Re: Raleigh Academy
Oreo laughed once again and shrugged. He watched the door for a few moments before sharing his next thought. "I'm calling it now, hate sex by the end of the year and after that they will tolerate each other."
Val just shrugged at what he said. "Why are you here?" She asked dully, fingers digging into her arm to keep from lashing out at him again.
