The waves are barley rushing. Water stretches out farther than I can see, just like the field. I drop my hand down slowly as I fly just above the water, letting my fingers skim the surface. I love the feeling of cold water on my skin.

My mind sharpens, and the world around me gets into focus. Maybe this world is something I made up. But no, I make worlds consciously, and making a world like this would be an exhausting task that my brain muscles wouldn't forget for weeks.

A wind blows by, hitting my skin at the wrong angle. And then, a memory slithers into my mind, like sweaty cold fingers wrapping around my throat.

The wind is tearing at my clothes, tearing at my skin, tearing me apart. I can't breathe, I'm gasping for air. I'm swept up in a mass of dirt and rubble that stings my eyes.
I was just sitting at our round oak table as Mum enjoying talking about paper hearts, when this swept us up.
They are all screaming. And then it all stops.
I close my eyes, and take myself to another world. It is all black, and there is a bed I am laying in.
When I wake up, I am on a beach ...

This weird new world is totally empty. I've scoped the land, and found nothing but rabbits, oddly. It seems that this water and field terrain goes on forever.
Maybe more will land here.
And then, I realize something.
This is the land where the survivors of the tornado must go.
Does that mean I'm the only one?
