Princess: "You're late," I say as I approach the gate. I said twenty minutes, and I expected twenty minutes.

Swallow didn't meet her eyes, just looked at her feet. "It was a long walk."

Princess: My cane is under is chin, forcing him go look up at me. "Liar."

Huh, I love Princess, she's so suspenseful xD

Swallow quickly turned his head, trying to hide the hurt in his eyes with anger. "Why would I lie?"

Princess: "Because you're human," I twist the word so it sounds filthy. "Is there no greater reason?"

Swallow hit the cane away and stood, daringly locking eyes with her. "The job's done, so don't nag me about it. You've done your duty. The man's dead. And Mischa--" he cut himself off.

Princess: "Mischa," I repeat slowly. I wordlessly take my cane and brig it across his ribs.

Wait a minute, bring across...that could mean she just places it there or she hit him. Knowing Princess, I'm assuming she hit him.

Swallow held back a whimper, refused to clutch his ribs even though it hurt, hurt like hell. He backed against the gate. His eyes dared her to try again, make him show weakness.

Oh, she hit him.

Princess: I raise my cane again and strike his shoulder. When I hear a crack, I'm distantly satisfied.

Swallow bit his lip to keep from screaming, sank to the ground limply as his shoulder and chest burned from the inside, and he felt like a twig that had been stepped on. Something salty was in his mouth. He whimpered, squeezing his eyes shut. The whole time, a single thought ran through his head; I hate her.

Princess: I press the cane into his shoulder, watching him wince. "Remember this pain," I murmur, "When you think of her or any other of the casualties."
I remove it and start heading back.

I'm about to make someone else who works for them.

Swallow gasped and felt the hot road against his skin, as the burning pain surged through in bolts. He didn't dare move. The ground felt nice, it was more friendly than a cane. And everything around was beginning to spin and darken in splotches around him...no, he forced himself awake. It was only to be received by the sharp-yet-aching feeling of being broken. He let himself go again, the pain numbing.

Do you still want to use that little boy?

Oh yeah, forgot about him. Doesn't matter to me. Did you wanna do something with him?

Clarece: One of my ghostie friends told me to go outside today, so I grabbed my toys, gathered them in my skirt, and head outside. But that's when I notice Mr. Bird lying on the ground. I clumsily run towards him and stop, leaning down and placing a finger on my lip. I gently poke his shoulder. "Poke."

Swallow distantly felt something touch him. Go away, he thought, but everything was still a blur.

Clarece: I poke him again. "Poke, poke." He moved a little bit, so he must be alive. He must've gotten in trouble again. I run back to my toes and take out an ambulance car. I add sound effects and start driving it on the sidewalk, all the way to Mr. Bird. "You called us just in time!" I make one of the men say. I lay them down again and gently put an ear on his heart.
