7 Minutes In Heaven

Jonas
"Topics about you?" I suggested

Grace: "Topics about me? If we only talk about me, then I'll never get to know you. We can talk about me a bit, though, I guess. What do you want to know?"

Jonas
"Where were you born?"

Grace: "Here. Or did you want to know specifics? Like what hospital room?" I smirked.

Jonas
I laughed "Smart aleck... hmm... what do you want to be once you graduate from school?'

Grace: "Don't know, don't care. Maybe a secretary." I rolled my eyes. "I want to be an artist."

Jonas
"What kind? Watercolor, sketching...? A little bit of everything?"

Grace: "Not sure yet."I shrugged. "maybe pottery."

Jonas
I smiled "That's really cool. So do you have to go to like, an art school to do that?"

Grace: "You don't /have/ to, but most people do. What do you want to be?" Wasn't that a safe enough topic?

Jonas
"Er... I don't know yet" I looked away with a slight sigh

Grace: I rolled my eyes, or he just didn't want to talk about. I took a sip of beer. "Okay. What's your favorite color? Number? Animal?" If those weren't safe topics then...!

Jonas
"Soft grey, 13, I don't know, but DEFINITELY not a horse. What about you?"

Grace: "Army green, 8, and..." I thought for a moment. "Coyote."

Jonas
"Why a coyote?" I asked. Interesting choice.

Grace: I shrugged. "I just like them. They're kind of mysterious, and not pampered in anyway. They live off what they have, and when they howl at the moon it's beautiful."

Jonas
"I've never.... hm... I've never looked at coyotes that way" I muttered thoughtfully

Grace: I shrugged and took another gulp of beer. "Try it sometime."

Jonas
"So are you one of those deep thinking, alcoholic, artist types?" I asked

Grace: "Nah, I don't think so. I don't know." I smiled in confusion. "I'm just me. Not really a type. And not always a deep thinker. If I'm drunk half the time then it's kind of hard to get into deep thought."

Jonas
"Weird, I was pretty sure it's easier to do more deep thinking while drunk" I chuckled, finishing off my beer

Grace: "Maybe it's different for everyone." I was only hardly halfway through mine. I didn't always get drunk, I wasn't exactly an alcoholic. Jonas could think what he wanted to, though.

Jonas
"Huh, maybe. I do my best thinking when I'm totally drunk" I grabbed another beer

Grace: That's disturbing, I thought but didn't say aloud.

Jonas
I saw the judgement in her eyes, and chuckled "I know, it's weird'
