Derrick: "Well..." I shrugged. "Have you ever wished you had a different name? Just a random question. I like the name Lara, don't get me wrong."

Lara: I smiled. "Yes, I have. I wish my name was Avalon. Different, odd name I know, but I've always liked it. What about you?"

Derrick: I laughed. "That's a pretty cool name. And I just don't really like my middle name. I'm cool with my first name."

Lara: I smiled. "What's your middle name?"

Derrick: I groaned. "Roderick. It's a family name or something."

Lara: I giggled.

Derrick: "Stop laughing! I hate that name!" I complained.

Lara: I choked out a last giggle. "Sorry."

Derrick: I shook my head. "Why is that so funny?"

Lara: I smiled and shrugged. "I don't know, it just caught me funny."

Derrick: "Why? Because it's a weird name?"

Lara: "No."

Derrick: "Then why?"

Lara: "I don't know. It was stupid and mean to laugh." I replied and crossed my arms over my chest and turned to face forward in my seat.

Derrick: I laughed. "It's okay. Most people laugh. My mom laughed at my dad too when she found out his middle name."
