what happens in college

Adam: "We could go play catch," I joked.

Brea: "Um?"

Adam: "I'm kidding. I'm hesitant to throw things now."

Brea: "Ohhh," I understood now and laughed.

Adam: I grinned, happy she was laughing. "We could go to the pet store and look at the pets."

Brea: "Yeah, let's do that." I was in a mood to do anything for some reason, I usually wasn't in a good mood like this.

Adam: I grinned. "They may even have some dogs and cats there."

Brea: "And fish, and hamsters and birds."

Adam: I grinned. "What do you know? Here we are."

Brea: I went to all the cages with puppies inside. "Awww so cute."

Adam: I laughed and pointed to one sleeping. "That one looks really tired."

Brea: "No dip, it's sleeping."

Adam: I laughed. "Dip?"

Brea: "You've never heard the expression "no dip" before?"

Adam: I shook my head. "Never."

Brea: "Weird..."

Adam: "I refuse to call that puppy by the c word, though," I said.

Brea: I gave him a weird look. "Please tell me you mean the word "cute" and not the other word."

Adam: I frowned. "What did you think I meant by the c-word?"

Brea: "Well, there's a cuss word that starts with "c."

Adam: "Uh...nope, not thinking of it..."

Brea: I shrugged and turned back to looking at puppies.

Adam: "I kinda want one now."

Brea: I smiled. "Me, too. Have you ever had a puppy?"

Adam: I shook my head. "Nope."
