Children of the Fire

Bryce- I smiled and held her close. "And I would never leave you," I said.

Megan smiled and her lips found his.

Bryce- I tightened my arms around her, never wanting to let go. I wanted to keep her with me always and protect her from any harm that would come. I cared for her a lot.

Megan laid her head on his chest. She kissed his chest and sighed.

Bryce- I smiled. "I love you. A lot."

Megan nodded "I love you more." She smiled.

David:
I stumble into the clearing. There are deep cuts all over me from my fight. I am still covered with Zach's blood. "His name was Zach, he won't be an issue anymore" I say. I then lean against a tree and vomit. I had never killed before. The feeling I had was horrible I had just killed a human in one of the most brutal ways possible. I shuddered. "Are you okay Mara?"

Mara- I struggled a nod. "Yeah, I'm fine. He cut my leg up pretty bad though."

Bryce- I smiled and kissed her.

Megan smiled and pulled back. Bryce's phone rang. "You have to go?"

Bryce- I sighed. "I certainly hope not." I picked up the phone. "Hello?"
My dad was on the other side of the line. "Where have you been?! You're supposed to be hunting dragons, and no one has seen you anywhere!"
"I've been busy. Don't worry, I'm taking care of things," I replied.
"Very well. Just hurry home." He hung up.

Megan looked at him and pouted "Your dad..."

Bryce- I nodded. "Unfortunately," I sighed. "He's always trying to force the famliy business on me, trying to get me ready and all that junk."

Megan pouted. "I dont want you to leave."

Bryce- "I don't want to leave either."

David:
"Good," I say. I throw up again. Then I look up and see Jesse standing there. "Uh... hey" I say.

Jesse

"Um...hey there," I said, slightly grossed out. Really, I did not need to see that. "So, uh, do you think the danger has passed?"

David:
"I'm pretty sure!" I snap. "I mean I did rip his head off after all!" I glare at Jesse angrily.

Jesse

"Hey, hey, what's with all the sudden hostility?" I asked, putting my hands up in a "Chill out, dude" expression. "I'm just saying... You might've killed one, but he could have friends. There could be other slayers that work with him, you know."

David:
"I'm hostile because I just f***ing killed a human being!" I say practiacally spitting the words at her. "And what are you by the way? A slayer? Another dragon?"

Jesse

I grew and spread my blue, leathery wings.

"Dragon," I told him. "I'm with you. ...Although, honestly, I never knew my peers were dragons, too. I mean, I could sense other dragons around, but I could never pinpoint them. So this is good to know."

David:
I look at her and relax a little. I did not want another fight so soon. I slump against the tree and try to keep from passing out. Blood loss is starting to get to my head.

Mara- My breaths were shaky. "We need to get your wound taken care of."

Megan cuddled more to Bryce. "Then dont go." SHe whispered.

Bryce- I smiled and wrapped my arms around her. "Then I won't."

David:
"I'm fine" I say to Mara. "I just need to rest..." My voice trails off and I fall asleep.
