Re: Through the screen...
Remington pushed through the tutorial easily and was soon in the area they dropped off all the newbs. She looked around and saw only a few other players getting dropped off. What was with that? Was this game just...not popular?
Julian was dropped into the newb land and saw a girl who was looking around confused. 'Remmy'. Probably just Remington, he finally decided. He looked around for other familiar faces.

Re: Through the screen...
Riley pushed through skeptically. Nothing was ever this easy... She got into the newb area and recognized the other people, though she only knew Julian. They were in the same art club together. Then, another person came in. Oliver looked around the newb area and sighed, spinning his character around. All kids he had seen from school. More torment? Probably.

Joss
"Welcome, Jocelyn," the voice of the computer said.
Whoah...cool!
I started up the game. I'd already read a decent amount on gameplay, controls, fighting, and whatnot, because I'm just that kind of gamer. I always read the manual first.
I headed into character creation, lingering a while. I was very particular with creating my characters whenever I played games like this...because I'm just that kind of gamer.
...Okay, character made, and into the tutorial. I already knew everything the tutorial had to offer, but hey, I wasn't going to deny free experience points. It was the fools who skipped over the tutorial. I went through the motions now, completing the thing quickly and easily.
"And it looks like I'm off to Newb City now," I said with a smirk.
Wait a minute... Were those all kids from school?

Theo: Thorne and i beat the tutorial easily and were simultaneously booted into newb land. Oh look, school people. Well, the coolness of this game just went down a notch....
Wynter: Through the tutorial and into the wondrous land of newbs. Joy. And then i realized there were a bunch of people form school. Joy. And id thought this game as going to be FUN.

More school people? Seriously? How many of my peers were going to show up here? Not that I particularly minded or cared, but...I dunno, it was just kinda weird. Going through dungeon runs with my classmates was simply...an odd concept.

Re: Through the screen...
August sat through the tutorial, stopping periodically to go and set up some hotkeys. He hadn't bothered leaning anymore about the game than the promo videos, but the controls were simple enough to handle. Typical WASD navigational controls...Nothing too crazy wierd.
Once he was dumped out in NOOB land, he recognised a bunch of faces from his highschool cafeteria.

Re: Through the screen...
Remington looked around her room quickly and found the headset that was given ot her along with the computer. She hesitantly pulled it on and went back to the game. "So...This is weird." She mumbled absently."
Julian heard Remington's voice come out of his speakers and jumped. He looked into the box and sighed. Headsets. That would make the game easier. He pulled it on and went back to the game. "Yeah, it is. Is /everyone/ in this game from our school?" He asked absently.

Re: Through the screen...
Riley laughed absently. "I'm thinking so," she said. It seemed like everyone here was a familiar face and no offense to them, but she wasn't sure if she liked it. Sure, in school they were cool enough, but she didn't want to run around with them through castles.
Oliver nodded in his headset and and chuckled. He only had spoken to one of the people in depth, which was Joss. (But only if wd is okay with that... Considering they're both lonerish types) a few of the others were less than savory toward him.

Re: Through the screen...
Theo: Throne and i heard voices on the speakers and realized the headsets worked with this game. We both put them on and in unison said, "This is so wierd!". Since our voices were hard to tell apart, it sounded really funny.
Wynter: Oh great, the twins were on here. I heard their freaky simultaneous voices through the speaker. I plugged my headset in absently. It was even harder to tell them apart when they werent visible. "If this game isnt a brand name or sold on the mass market, its probably just us. Or it could be coincidence." i said.

Re: Through the screen...
Bonnie decided to use BonBon as her screen name, 'cause...well, just 'cause. BonBons sounded good at the time. Her character was suddenly dropped into a virtual place where a whole bunch of others were just looking lost and new-ish. Coolio. She walked her avatar over to some other people. "Soooo...anyone seen any good explosions so far?" she asked into her headset. It wasn't a good game without explosions.

I put on my headset now that everybody was talking. I had my character look around, and I spotted Oliver. At least there was somebody I was more familiar with here.
"Hey," I greeted as I walked over.

"Hey," Oliver said. "Kinda weird, yeah?" He asked. He glanced around the newb area, which he thought kind of looked like a playground. A demented, sickening kind of playground. You know, the kind where the drug dealers and gang members play? Yeah, that kind.

Re: Through the screen...
Julian looked around the game as suddenly a white rabbit (im sorry, i had to...on a wonderland kick right now) came out of know where and started hopping away. "Um guys...think we should follow it?" He asked the others. Remmy was already walking in its general direction.

Re: Through the screen...
August's eyes fell on the headphones still in the box on his desk. He unwrapped them and plugged them in. "Why are you all from school?" He asked uncertainly. This was odd. He felt a little out of place, just as he did at school. Like a spectator.

"Totally weird," I agreed with Oliver. Then Julian said something about a rabbit. I looked around, spotting the thing. "Yeah, we're supposed to follow it," I said.

Re: Through the screen...
Bonnie took their silence as a 'no'. Damn. She looked around, watching for someone to talk to. She'd seen most of them around school, but hadn't really talked. Then a white rabbit appeared out of nowhere. "Hey! I think you're late for something!" She called to it, and followed. "Aw, he's so cute! I love bunnies. They're so tiny and fluffy."

Re: Through the screen...
August was reminded of Alice in Wonderland by Bonnie's comment. "I hope we don't have to do that whole 'eat me' thing where you get big and small...I hated that part of the movie...So confusing..." August tried to start up a conversation.
Re: Through the screen...
Theo: "Rabbit!" Thorne and i exclaimed in sync before guiding our avatars to chase after it.
Wynter: "Well, apparently the identical morons have decided to go after it." i said dryly. "Hey!" said one twin. "We can still hear you, Wynter!" the other one exclaimed. I rolled my eyes. "Yes, i know. That was half the point." i said. The twins werent awful to hang around, but they could be morons at times. I considered them friends, i supposed, alothough we werent exceptionally close. I was better at telling them apart than most though. But on the microphones, their voices were identical and i couldnt tell who was talking without the visual. It was annoying.

"We don't," I said to August. "I read about the first part of this quest. So, let's all follow the rabbit then."
I was starting to be less indifferent about adventuring with my schoolmates and more uncomfortable with it.

Re: Through the screen...
Ollie sighed. Wonderland games were so overdone. He nodded and followed after the others, Riley following behind him. He walked near the middle of the pack, his previous gaming experience telling him that it was always the first or the last who got killed. That was not going to be him, now was it?

Re: Through the screen...
(I like how you know whats going on when I dont WD. It makes this a lot easier. <3)
Remmy went after the bunny with the others. She was used to following small creatures from hutning, but this was just hard. It kept disapearing and reapearing. "UGH!" She finally exclaimed. "This /so/ isnt like real life. How are we suposed to follow this thing!?" SHe demanded.
"Just...follow it." Julian shrugged in the back of the group. He kept changing camera angles to make sure that everything was alright. He didnt want something to totally attack him out of no where.

Re: Through the screen...
Theo: "Just run around...." i started. "....and dont run into anything or anyone else!" fiished Thorne. We were both exceptionally hyper and perky at this point.
Wynter: I guided my avatar after the others. "Anyone else find it wierd that we're chasing a random ghost bunny?" i said. The thing WAS like a ghost, popping up and disappearing all the time. And the fact that it was white didnt help. This game was getting boring.

Re: Through the screen...
August ran after the rabbit as well, quickly becoming infuriated by the speed and stealthyness of the thing. "Dude...It's so fast." He commented to no one in particular.
Re: Through the screen...
Bonnie stayed near the front of the group, keeping a sharp eye out for the little rodent. "Thank you, Captain Obvious," she said in response to August's comment. "So follow faster!"
