HMS Warwulf

HMS Warwulf is the pride of the human fleet. It is, to all intents and purposes, a three-mile-long metal cigar. The engines, turrets, and missile tubes are fitted with cowlings and built specifically so that this vast machine presents a smooth exterior. It is extremely similar in shape to a nuclear submarine.

HMS Warwulf is capable of taking on several similar ships without sustaining damage. It is fitted with the most advanced experimental systems, and run by the best of the best... generally.

However, due to its experimental nature, a routine slicing maneouvre has left the HMS Warwulf stranded over a billion parsecs from the Galactic Core. While the ship is undamaged, they cannot attempt to slice back to where they came from, as another similar malfunction could leave them deep in the intergalactic gulf. And you know what they say about the gulf...
