Jus' Anotha One...

(Walking through the town to the restaurant, I think)

Mikey: "I. . .guess that I missed this place." Total lie, but hey. What else could I say? I couldn't just say that I'm running from a bunch of demon hunters who wanna kill me.

Annaleah: She smiled. "Oh?"

Mikey: I shrugged, not really trying to give a sufficient reply. "Do you want to eat somewhere? I'm starving."

Annaleah: She eyes him, but decided to ignore how he ignored her question. There went those puzzles again. "Sure. I could use that."

Mikey: "What type of food do you like?" Why is she looking at me like that? It's kind of. . .disturbing. Like I forgot something, or I did something. I tried thinking of what I could have done, but it escaped me.

Annaleah: The look on his face...he looked scared of her. She stiffled a giggle. "Anything's fine."

Mikey: "Okay, I'll take you to a place that used to be my favorite. Well, if they are still around. I haven't been here in years."

Annaleah: "Sounds charming. Which way?"

Mikey: I smiled. "Well, from what I remember, we have to go this way." I turned right down the street. All the memories of this place that I had long forgotten came back to me by just staring down this street.

Annaleah: She watched him as he changed direction and then scampered to his side. The street was almost baren of people, maybe because of the clouds rolling in.

Mikey: The chilling wind was very familiar. It seemed just like the weather of that night five years ago. I didn't want to remember that far back. . .I shook off the memory, and forgot about it. "A guess a storm is coming, as usual."

Annaleah: She looked up at the sky. "Soon, too. How long of a walk is it?"

Mikey: "I don't think it's far. Maybe around the corner?"

Annaleah: She felt a wet raindrop splat on her forehead. "Oh dear."

Mikey: "I think we better hurry." I began to walk faster. I was used to the weather in Masquiott, so I knew that the rain was going to get worse. Way worse. "Oh, there! It's open!" I pointed to the corner restaurant, and began to make my way toward it. That was when I saw her through the window.

Annaleah: she hurried to the door, but Mikey's eyes suddenly flashed like he saw something. "What's wrong?"

Mikey: I didn't want her to worry, but I didn't want to sacrifice myself either. If she saw me. . .she would surely send out her hunters. "I don't think we can eat here. Just follow me. I'll take you to my old house." I tied my scarf better around my neck, trying to disguise my face. Damn it. . .Just damn it all to hell.

Annaleah: The rain started to pick up. What was he talking about? "Alright..." Anything to get out of the cold.

Mikey: I didn't want to run, but I guess we would have to. I picked up my pace even more, despite the freezing cold rain. I wanted to cry, but I knew that I was stronger than that. If I just broke down at every hard point in my life, I would be down forever. "Just trust me. I promise that nothing is going to happen." It was weird how easily I could tell that lie. I felt my throat choke up, and I couldn't speak anymore. I'm going to die. . .

Annaleah: She almost had to jog to keep up with him. "Will you at least tell me what's going on? The truth."

Mikey: "Fine. I'll tell you the truth! I don't care anymore." I took a deep breath, "I'm a half demon being hunted by a group called the Foundation because my father killed the current leader's family. They want me to sacrifice myself to give them the power needed to kill all of the demons. That is the truth, and it may not seem like it, but it is." I was talking faster than normal, but I guess it's okay considering I just blew apart my secret.

Annaleah: That slightly resembled Cricket's situation, if you cut out the demons and replace them with thieves. "Alright, but that doesn't explain why you started running just now."

Mikey: "In the restuarant was the leader of that organization, and she will never stop hunting me."
