Ale and Gh (the thief)

"No problem, kiddo!" I said, hugging him back. "So....now what?"

Tommy looked down at her and frowned. "I dunno...maybe I should tell Andrew....but he'll be mad....." Tommy said fearfully. He didn't want to loose Andrew as a friend, he /couldn't/ loose Andrew as a friend.

Minali
"You should...you can't just keep it from him...and....if things go bad...i'll fix it...okay?"

Tommy stood and nodded, still clinging to Minali. "Okay..." he said softly, "let's go find Andrew..."

Minali"
I nodded, letting him hold me. Andrew would understand...I think. "Okay, where will he be?"

"The cemetary," Tommy answered, walking slowly. He pushed open the wrougt iron gate and headed to the older part of the cemetary. Leaves lay on the graves, decorating the marbles in colorful hues.

Andrew leaned against his cold headstone, a few white roses pushing up from the leaves. He looked up when he saw Tommy and was surprised to discover he was breathing. "Tommy...yer alive?"

I looked at this place of death, smelling the dead bodies in the ground. Jeez...humans treated their people wrong...burying their bodies in the icky GROUND? Disgusting. I looked up and saw Andrew leaning against a stone thing.

Tommy nodded, "Yeah, I'll explain that later...Andrew I did somethin' bad..."

Andrew looked up at Tommy with concern, "What? Are you okay? Did something 'appen?"

Tommy shook his head, unable to choke the words out. He unintentionally squeezed Minali out of fear to his chest.

Minali
"GAH! TOMMY S-STOP-" I struggled for breath and began to pound my tiny fists in his hand. Crapcrapcrapcrap! Tommy needed to let go now...But I couldn't even breathe!

Tommy released some of the pressure, hearing her pleas. "Sorry," he mumbled. He couldn't tell Andy. "T-tell him for me?" he whispered, just loud enough for Minali to hear.

Minali
"I'll start...but you should really let him hear it from you..." I said, turning and flying to Andrew.

"Tommy has been holding something in for awhile...and he has been guilty about it. He is kind of afraid to tell you, but I will. Tommy has it in his mind that he killed you."

Andrew looked at her confused, "I don't...understand......'ow? Tommy?"

Tommy wrapped his arms around himself and looked down at his feet. Hatingevery moment of this and himself, he didn't look up or even try to answer...he couldn't.

Minali
I looked and sighed. He would speak eventually. "At the time you died, Tommy was angry. He yelled at you that he wished you were dead and then you were killed. When you saw him as you were dying, he was afraid and ran off." I said, hoping I had gotten all that correct.

Tommy gave a slight nod, looking up at Andrew with frightened eyes. "I was angry....you...were forgettin' me...and growin' up...and doin' all the crap I never got to do...."

Andrew looked at him in disbelief, "So....you wished me dead?"

Tommy nodded, "But I didn't mean to-"

"My...best friend...wished me dead....and ran....when I asked...for help? Begged even?"

"I'm sorry-"

Andrew's eyes flashed with hurt and betrayal, his jaw set in a thin grim line. "So? I've /never/ wished anyone to this state, let alone a person I thought of as a brother."

Tommy's face crumpled, "Andrew, I, I didn't know-"

"Congrats, ya got yer wish. Are ya 'appy now?" Andrew said angrily before disappearing. It took a moment for Tommy to fully registure what had happened, horror and guilt frozen on his features before tears ran down his cheeks and broken sobs came from his lips.

Minali

Well...that didn't go as I had planned...

I flew over to a spot near Tommy, willing myself to grow human size. I hated being this big...but...still...I walked over to Tommy and hugged him, trying to comfort him.

"Shh...it's okay, Tommy.."

Tommy shook his head and burried it into her chest. "I'm s-sorry...I ain't a good friend..." he sobbed, clinging to her. He always did things with out acting, why did he have to be so stupid?!

Minali
GAH how to comfort? "Listen, Tommy. It isn't your fault. You're so young, and you couldn't control your emotions. We can still talk to Andrew..."

Tommy shook his head again. "'E won't talk to me....I dun even know where 'e is." he said, clinging to her.

Minali
"Well...I bet we can find him! And...I can talk to him if you'd like..."

Tommy nodded and held on to her. "O-okay b-but I dun t-think he'll w-want ta talk ta m-me..." he said, sniffling a bit.

Minali

"Now, now, no need to worry. I'll talk to him first if you'd like. Then you can talk to him after." I said, trying to figure out what I would actually say.

Tommy nodded and wiped a few tears from his eyes. "W-will you be able to find 'im?" he asked.

Minali
"I'm not sure...where do you think he might be?"

"Liz's 'ouse or the masoleum on the hill..." Tommy answered. "Most likely Liz's."

Minali
"Can you take me there?" I asked, hoping he knew the way.
