Much ado about loving...

Andrew: "So, you excited about the opening?" I asked, not sure what to do.

Mandy: "No. I won't. It's obvious you don't like me anyways.

((sorry guys, gotta go for tonight. ))

Tara: My eyes widened at Mandy's comment and I looked at Derek, not sure what to say. Of course he liked Mandy!...right?

Derek - I looked at Mandy, she had just told Tara, "Um, Tara, I," I stutter.

Anastasia - "Oh, Yeah," I say slightly dissappointed. Then I sighed, "Alright Andrew, Do you like me or not?"

Tara: "You what?" I said confused. I lowered my voice. "You don't have to tell her right now, with me here." I still thought he liked Mandy.

Derek - I sighed irritated, "Tara, I like YOU!"

Tara: I blinked. "Haha, very funny," I rolled my eyes with a laugh. Guys had pulled that trick with me before - saying they liked me as a joke. It always left me heartbroken. Not this time, though, since I had caught him in the act.

Derek - "I'm serious Tara," I say kind of quiet, "I like you."

Tara: I took a step back. "It's not any funnier the second time, not funny at all."

Derek - "You're really wounding my ego," I tell her. Why wouldn't she just believed that I liked her? It was the TRUTH!

Tara: I glared at him. "Good, it's too big, anyway."

Derek - "Ok, I deserved that," I say, "but I don't deserve your mistrust."

Tara: I looked at my shoes. "But you like Mandy."

Derek - "I don't like Mandy, I mean, sure, as a friend, but as nothing more!" I tell her.

Tara: "Okay," I said slowly and looked up into his eyes. "Then...it's Anastasia?"

Derek: "Definitally not! She's like my sister, plus Andrew likes her!" I sigh, "It's you Tara!"

Tara: "But...you never act like you like me..." I said quietly.

Derek - "You never acted like you liked me," I replied.

Tara: I smiled. "You should know by now that I'm never easy. Of course I acted like I didn't like you...er, assuming I do..." I blushed.

Derek - "So, you do?" I asked hoping.

Tara: "I..." I looked back up at him. Then I smiled. "Yeah, I do."

Derek - I smiled, "Thank god! That would have been embarrassing."

Tara: "Yeah, which is why I never told you. I thought you liked Mandy - you always flirted with her."

Derek - "I always flirt, period," I roll my eyes playfully.

Tara: "True," I laughed. "So...what now? Now that we've told each other..."

Derek - "Oh, um, well, I guess we date, that is if you want to," I fluster.
