Much ado about loving...

Tara: I smiled. "Is that you asking me on a date, then?"

Derek - "Yeah, I mean, Tara, will go on a date with me?" I ask. I'm not good at dating girls, regardless of how good I am at flirting with them.

Tara: I laughed. "Sure, when?"

Derek - "Well, how about tomorrow night after the opening?" I ask thinking of a candlelight dinner.

Tara: "Okay..." I shrugged. "And for now, at the party what should we do?" I sucked at this, at dating.

Derek - "Uh, I'm kind of new to this, but do you want to dance?" I asked as a slow song came on.

Tara: I laughed again. "Alright." We walked onto the dance floor. We were both fairly good dancers, we were on Broadway, after all!

Derek - "You're good," I say obviously.

Tara: I rolled my eyes. "We both are, we're on Broadway for a reason!" I laughed.

((Aw, okay bye! ))

Andrew: "Well.. Yeah. Of course I do."

Derek - I laugh, "Yeah, well, you're better than I am."

Anastasia - "Then why haven't you asked me out yet?" I wonder aloud.

Tara: I smiled. "Thanks...I hope that Mandy doesn't get mad about this..." I frowned.

Derek - "Don't worry about Mandy, surely she has more than me on her list of guys," I roll my eyes.

Tara: "And I only had you," I smiled.

Derek - "Good, I wouldn't want to have had to beat anyone up," I joke.

Tara: I frowned a little. "I don't think you would have had competition...none of the other guys like me...in that way."

Andrew: "Well, tha can change you know. I just didn't think you liked me. You know, guys are as blind to that stuff as girls are."

Derek - "You'd be surprised, I mean you are a star!" I smile

Anastasia - "Really? Because I've been way too obvious, I mean, why else would I always be telling you stuff about the lighting and timing during rehearsal," I smile.

Tara: "Not yet, on opening night we'll become stars, though." I grinned, the thought of our first show gave me butterflies.

Derek - "And everyone will know your name," I tell her spinning her around.

Tara: I laughed, feeling like a little girl, being spun that way. When I finished I felt dizzy and leaned my head on Derek's chest, waiting for the feeling to pass.
"I can't wait, it's going to be great!"

Derek - I kiss her forehead, "You're amazing," I tell her.

Tara: Butterflies flew through my stomach and I smiled softly. "Not as amazing as you are. We can be amazing together."

Derek - "The best Broadway couple," I envision it in my mind.

Tara: "Exactly," the slow song ended, and I stepped away from Derek, not wanting him to feel awkward, standing there. "Can we take a walk?" I cocked my head to the side and bit my lip.
