What's happening at Arcane University?

Arcane University

The students enrolled are all killer smart! But mostly just killers.

Setting: The chat takes place on the campus of Arcane University in California. It’s spring, the weather is beautiful and the campus is large, with many dorms, two students to each dorm. There are three dormitory buildings; one for girls, one for staff, and one for boys. The main building is three stories and very easy to get lost in because it’s so big. It is decorated very modern and futuristic-like, but mostly unfinished. It’s not a secret Arcane University is running low on money.

Complete Plot line: During the day, students attend classes of their choice and enjoy the luxurious campus. There are few rules, it is full of “forward-thinker” staff, who believe that students make their own choices by now. They all are rather strange people. At night, some students go to sleep and awake as seemingly different people. These students deny that they are different, despite how obvious it is. They seem like they share some secret with the staff, their grades become perfect overnight, they smell odd, and act very distant. They also look different; paler, bonier, and touched with a dark beauty. And their room mates report them disappearing in the night for unexplained reasons. When they confront the staff, the insist students are able to come and go as they please and it’s nothing to worry about.
But some have caught on to how not right this is. Suddenly, Arcane has a lot of money, and everything is being expanded, refinished, and more luxurious, despite seemingly nothing changing. If staff are asked where this new money is coming from, they say the funds are none of the students business. Something isn’t right. But what is it? Where is the money coming from? What exactly has happened to these campers?
Here’s the truth: The students have become killers.
In the science lab, the formula to change the students was perfected. A staff will slip it into one’s lunch, and it will sit and form in the bloodstream silently and invisibly until nighttime. Suddenly, the student’s body is taken over, and they are pushed to the back of their own minds where they can only observe what is happening but not control themselves. At this time, their bodies transform; each sense is heightened (sight, smell, hearing, touch, taste), physical skills drastically improve (running, jumping, strength), the mind is sharpened (smarter, clearer thoughts, telepathic communication with other students and staff also transformed), and each student receives one unique special ability that aids them with their mission that only they have. Note: Please make these powers fair, and not something like “KILLS ANYONE THEY BLINK AT”. Every power and infected is equal. They also look different; tougher and paler skin which heals faster, less-breakable and more prominent bones, stronger and darker hair that doesn’t hurt when pulled, and generally more attractive with their main flaws corrected as to give them more confidence. A new artificial and obedient person now controls this body while the previous owner suffers and watches, trapped. So, why? Why did these staff create this formula for killer humans?
When the university ran out of money, they knew they needed more, fast, or they’d be shut down. They became involved with a group called KFM, which sends lists to the school every week of people and groups they need killed for large sums of money. These lists are programmed into the infected students, and they won’t transform back into their regular student selves until they’ve killed the people assigned for that night, sometimes with other students. Note: Even when not in their transformed state, the artificial controller of the body still controls it. The original person remains trapped.
It’s clear that this needs to stop. This plot could unfold in many ways . . . The staff could infect all students and gain all the money needed without anyone noticing, the infected could find a way to get back in control of their bodies, or maybe the students could catch hold of the plan and try to stop them (reverse transformations, destroy data collected, etc). We will see what happens!

Basic Plot Summary: Students attending a poor university are quickly being transformed into super-humans and having their bodies taken over by something else that kills people at night so the university gets more money. A lot more money.

Main Areas:
Girls Dormitory: This area is completely finished. It has one small main lobby where students check in, and two floors of dorms the size of two bedroom apartments. Each dorm has a kitchen, living room, dining room, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms. The windows are very, very silent when opened at night. Students can paint and decorate as they please.

Boys Dormitory: Mostly finished. Some hall lights don’t work and occasionally water is turned off to finish plumbing, but basically the same as the girl’s dormitory.
Staff Dormitory: Completely finished and a beautiful building. No students are allowed in.
Campus: Open, spacious, green and gorgeous are the words that best describe the outdoors of Arcane University. Red and white roses are everywhere as they are the school’s colors and the building is made from dark, old, yet stylish brick. There are many winding paths and benches, even a little pond where students are commonly found having lunch. It’s located in a hard to find place, so it’s very remote and quiet. 

Main building: When you enter the two big oak doors, you find yourself in a mostly white lobby where you sign in to your classes for the day. The floors are white and so are the tiles on the floor, and after the lobby is basically where this ends. Classrooms are never the right temperature, lights are harsh without fixtures, occasionally power is lost with no explanation, and the rooms themselves are mostly raw wood and beams without drywall. The staff don’t like to talk about the shortage of funds.
Gravel Road: This is the only way that leads out of the university, unless you try to escape from the forest behind it. But why would one want to do that...? Anyway, this road leads to the small town nearby where most students grew up.

Rules:
-I remind you again, the whole chat isn't just about the infected killing people! During the day there are classes and relationships and friends and dorms. There are many different ways the plot branches out and feel free to have fun with it.

-No student can transform during day, only at night when they can sneak out to preform mission unnoticed. They also cannot change back until they complete their mission. If they fail, they immediately will be killed by staff when they get back to campus.
-Remember, when a character eats the poison and changes, they are still in their own head, thinking and can even talk in that head with what’s taken over. They just can’t control their bodies anymore. It can be told from the student’s point of view, or the new transformed artificial person in control instead. You can be very creative with the relationship between the two!
-Infected cannot tell other normal students about who they are and what they do. They simply cannot, even if it’s a boyfriend or best friend. They can, however, suggest to staff who should get a little extra something in their food this week...
-I am in control of staff, and therefore I pick who gets the infected. Please start off with all regular characters, it will spread quickly. You can always ask for your character to be infected very soon and I will gladly.
-Using the word “infected” makes me feel like we’re talking about zombies. They’re really just super humans.
-I’ll probably add to this. Lots. This is rather complicated.
-Have as many characters as you want. I just ask you don’t make staff. Remember, during the day this is regular university, it’s at night when crazy things happen.

Relationship status and sexuality: She’s single, recently dumped her boyfriend from her hometown down the gravel road, and secretly bisexual.
Best skill (this could determine their special ability if student becomes infected): She has a way with animals. They always take an immediate liking to her, and its as though she has some other sixth-sense connection with them.
