Kidnapped

I'm sure it is. To the insane person, at least.

Tara: I woke up with Aiden's arms around my shoulders, and paid my head on his shoulder. I wanted to feel safe, protected, for my last few days here on Earth. And Aiden made me feel that way, even if he had kissed and done more with other girls, he was mine now. And that was all that mattered.

Luke: I walk into the roomm. "But.... do you think he would have stayed with you this long if you weren't kidnapped?" I wonder out loud, manipulating.

Tara:"Maybe, maybe not. But it doesn't matter. We were kidnapped, and this is how things played out. Why wonder what could have been when the present won't change?"

Luke: I smirked. "That thought doesn't bother you? Maybe if you had gotten out in that first weak attempt you made, he probably wouldn't have iven you a second glance. Maybe youd stay together until you got pregnant, and then he'd leave in cowardice. Or maybe he wouldn't wait that long for you to put out. The possibilties are endless, we're actually doing you a favor, hun."

Tara:"Those are all maybes. No one can know fornsure what would have happened, and frankly - I don't care!" I stood up and looked down at my belly. About four months pregnant now.

Luke: "You're huge," I say with a derisive laugh.

Tara:"I'm pregnant, what do you expect?" I glared at him.

Luke: "I expect nothing less, honestly. Just thought I'd point it out." My god, look at her! She was like... a mutated Sno Ball....

Tara: "Just shut up! Why are you bent on making my last days of life a living hell? I never did a thing to you!" I said angrily, though I tried to keep my voice calm.

Luke: "When does the bad guy ever have a legit motive?" I sneer.

Tara: "So you're just bitter? Well, go waste your time somewhere else. I've had enough bitter memories, thanks." Images of my father whipping me with his belt and screaming terrible things at me flashed through my mind, and I absently rubbed the small of my back, where I had the most noticeable scar. Shit, now this creep would know all my secrets, since he could read minds.

Luke: I raise my eyebrows. "What would he say if he found out you were pregnant?"

Tara: "That's none of your concern," I scowled. And it didn't matter, anyway, since I'd never see my father again, and I didn't want to.

Luke: "You know, you do have a chance to make it," I say, giving false hope.

Tara: "There's no point in lying - I read minds, too, remember?" I replied harshly. "And even if I did make it, there's no way in Hell I'd go see him."

Luke: xD. She amused me all too much. "I guess so. If you'll excuse me." I left for a bit, planning to ask M.V if there actually was a way for her to survive.

Tara: My eyes narrowed as I watched him leave, but I turned on my heel and sat back down next to Aiden's sleeping form. The guy had given me a lot to think about, starting with: why did he want me to survive, and how could I be amusing?!

Luke: "Do you think she can?" I ask M.V, just out of curiosity. Even if she could, I would tell her so but wouldn't tell her how. Just so they would realize she COULD have survived, she COULD have lived.

M.V.: "Don't bother knocking," I said sarcastically, then looked up at my apprentice, closing the notebook I had been recording data and results in. "And, yes, of course she can survive. The baby will either force its way out using earth - it'll tear through her stomach, make its way out like a normal baby - water breaking, etc., or appear out of thin air, harnessing the air power. Since Earth is the most simple and crude element, it's most likely the baby will rip its way out of the stomach, causing Ms. Jarboe's death. But there is a possibility the baby will harness water ability, and come naturally, and a very, very, small chance that the baby will use air power and cause no pain or harm at all. But it's most like the mother will die. And if she doesn't, then we will simply kill her. No one can know of our organization, and they all know too much."

Luke: I smirk. "Great." I head bacl to the room.

Tara: The guy reentered the room, and I rolled my eyes. "Back so soon?"

Luke: "Yeah, I got everything I needed." Being so skilled in mind reading, I manage to shield all my thoughts from her. It wasn't hard at all. i had practice, being an apprentice and all.

Tara: I saw what he did, and instantly hid mine, too. "Everything you needed? What do you mean?"
