Kidnapped

Tara: "Maybe we should come up with a name that actually has a meaning or significance...I always like names like that."

Aiden: "well, what would you think significant?"

Tara: "I don't really know. Maybe something that meant air, like her power? No, that's lame," I sighed. "Let's go with Brittany, I guess..."

Aiden: "if you really don't like it, we don't have to go with it." I flipped through names we had agreed on. "We have Andrea and Leslie too."

Tara: "I like Andrea. Rose, what are you naming your baby?"

Rose: "I suck at names. I have no idea. I always liked Catherine though."

Tara: "That's pretty," I nodded, even though I thought it was a terribly plain name. I knew at least ten Catherine's off the top of my head.

Aiden: "isn't that the name of some great Russian general or something?" I asked.

Rose: "yeah, she was Russian." I said. I couldn't recall much more.

Tara: "You're naming your child after a Russian general?" I asked dryly, then something occurred to me and I frowned, feeling stupid. "Aiden, what's your last name?"

Aiden: "McKenney." I said.

Tara: "So our daughter will be Andrea McKenney, assuming we give her your last name," I nodded with a smile "It sounds nice together."

Aiden: "perfect." I said, sealing it with a kiss.

Rose: am I going to have to talk to Luke about this? Its fair, I mean its his too.

Tara: I pulled back with a frown when I heard Rose's thought. "Yeah, you probably should."

Rose: I groan.

Aiden: ah, that is a both parent convo. Baby names. "But look at the bright side. You have something to talk about now!"

Rose: I glared. "Just what I needed. More awkward conversation."

Tara: "Sorry...Aiden and I had awkward conversation...like, uh," I tried to think of one "That time when we went to get fish from the river, and I had no idea what we should talk about. I think we ended up talking about how Aiden didn't have a watch. Awkward."

Aiden: "but we had nothing really to talk about, though. You do." I added.

Tara: "Yup, you have lots. Mostly baby related - but still, lots."

Rose: "true." I sighed.

Tara:"If you stress about it, you'll only make it more awkward. And you have plenty of time until the next time you speak," Then again, how would I know?

Rose: "he could come any second."

Tara: "Maybe he'll carry the conversation, and you won't have to?" I sighed and laid back on the ground, shrugging out from under Aiden's arm so I wouldn't crush it on the way down. I thought off his thoughts earlier when we kissed, and was a little surprised he still wanted me after seeing me all fat and pregnant.

Rose: "I don't know, he seemed at just as big of a loss for words as I was."

Tara:"Maybe you'll be one of those cute couples who hardly ever speak," I doubted it.

Aiden: "its cuz he just found out he was a dad, and he was still trying to wrap his head around it!" How couldd they have missed that?

Rose: "you're right. Maybe next time will be easier, since we had time to process it all."

Tara: "Maybe. Aiden was quiet when he found out, too," I realized something sheepishly "Sorry to keep comparing you to us."
