The dream to evade death. It is a wish which has captivated humanity eversince the first man clung to his wife and watched the light fade from her eyes. What happens when a band of teenagers forge a group in order to find the answers? When the asylum doctors become hungrier for patients and grave robbers begin stealing bodies? In a world where emotions are kept under lock and key and madness comes in more than one form, word has begun to spread about a man who brought a girl back to life. But at what cost?

Age: 17
What are you? (Nobleman, prostitute, graverobber, etc.): Graverobber
Appearence: Ginger hair and sparkling blue eyes. Thin and innocent looking. Her appearance has gotten her out of many tight spots in the past.
Bio: When she was young, Annie's family was poor. Her father caught the Black Plague, and died just before Annie turned six. His life may have been longer if, perhaps, they could have afforded medical care. But alas, they could not. They could hardly afford clothing and food, for that matter. So Annie began to steal, quite like a Robin Hood to begin with. She'd steal from the rich and give to the poor, including her family. But soon, those statistics became mostly her family, and finally just her. She ran off with her small riches, thinking she could survive without her mother and three siblings. She was only 13, and Annie's greed gobbled up every pleasant trait she had. Annie was left as clever, greedy, and manipulative. With an empty heart, and hardly much of a soul.

What are you?: a famous mental doctor's assistant.
Bio: He couldn't tell you what his mother looked like. She left him to his father and ran off with a band of mummers. His dad's strict sense of discipline and strange fear of againg lead him to beat Leonard when he sensed even the slightest bad thought. After expressing his wishes to be a doctor, he was allowed to work under the famous Dr. Potts. Although he at first seems to be the nervous, quiet, and very jittery assistant with a thing for candy, he's more skilled with a knife than you would think...

What are they: Marchants, I guess you could say...
Bio: Jei (the boy) and Aoi (the girl) have come from China with their father to participate in the opium trade. They're both skilled sowedsmen although he's a lot more playful than she is. Their house is an opium den, and so they have to stay at an inn at night to avoid the addicts. Jei wants mire than anything to bring back the woman he was bethrothed to while Aoi is starting to discover opium herself.
