Lockie: I began to write me, but then scribbled it out. Nevermind....

I look over at Jake, for once not bothering to get my notebook out to take notes on the lecture

Zach- I shrug and look up at the board and begin taking notes.

Jake- I look back at Elli and we lock eyes. I smile at her before turning to face the board but not listening to the lecture.

Lockie: Well, wouldn't it be totally awkward if I said me? Hmm. Saying things in code made things easier for me. I drew a lock, and then an "E", and showed it to Zach, instead of writing "me".

Zach- I look over at what she wrote. ??? I don't get it.

Lockie: I sighed and rolled my eyes. Is it me?

Zach- I blush for the first time in my life, looking back at the board as I nod a yes.

Elli
I smiled, knowing the year's worth of damage may not be healed, but it looked like Jake had forgiven me.

Lockie: I smirked. I like you too. I wrote on a scrap of paper, balled it up, and tossed it onto Zach's desk. Well, I liked /everyone/. But I didn't want him to feel bad, so...this would do the trick, wouldn't it? He'd be over me soon enough.

Jake- I sit through the class without paying attention, waiting for the bell to ring.

Zach- I open it up and read it. You like everyone. Don't just try to make me feel better. I just thought that you deserved to know. I throw it back at her.

Lockie: Dang, he knew me too well. But I used to be a con artist, couldn't I do a good job at pretending? But I /do/ really like you. Why would I have agreed to go with you yesterday if I didn't?"

Elli
When the bell finally signaled the end of class, I went out into the hall and waited for him, seeing what he'd do

Zach- Because we're friends. Because you love ice cream. Because you're nice like that.

Jake- I walk out the class and see Elli. "Hey," I smile at her.

Elli
"About last night... I'm really sorry about that, I wasn't thinking clearly." I sighed, then looked at him, hopeful there was nothing to apologize /for/, that maybe... maybe he liked kissing me as much as I liked kissing him

Lockie: Fine. Don't believe me. Your loss. I didn't snap at people much, but that last note made it sound that way. I doodled in my notebook after throwing it to him, not looking his way.

Jake- "No, no. Don't apologize. It was... nice," I tell her, still smiling.

Zach- I didn't want to piss her off, but I knew she didn't feel the same way aout me. We were just friends to her and nothing would change that. I check my cell and see a text from Stacie. I ask her how she got my number then close my phone.

Lockie: I realized class had ended and left, not looking at Zach.

Elli
I blush. That's the second time I've done that, dangit. Jake had been so nice to me, so kind, even when I had been a crappy friend over this past year, to say the least. I needed to think of a way to make up for that

Zach- I decide to skip the rest of my classes and go back to my dorm.

Lockie: I knew that Zach would try to avoid me now, and I didn't want that. I went to find him. His dorm, that would be where he was. I knocked on his door. "Zach..."

Jake- "You're cute when you blush," I smile at her.

Zach- I open the door. "Yeas?"

Haha. okay. I'll be back in a few hours.

Same with me, I'll be back later. But I'm here a little longer...

Lockie: I bit my lip, rocking back and forth. "Do you hate me now?"

Me too.

Zach- I open the door wider. "I couldn't hate you. I just don't like you mad at me. I don't like anyone mad at me."
