I nod softly, sinking against a tree and wrapping my arms around myself "I don't know how to talk to Jake anymore, Zach"

Zach- My eyes grow wide, I wasn't expecting her to say that. "What do you mean by you don't know how to talk to him anymore?" I ask her, confused.

Elli
I sighed, looking down out of slight embarrassment "Well... I don't know. It's hard to explain, I just... can't"

Zach- "Well. I'll do my best to help you with that but i can't make any garuntees that you'll be able to talk to him afterwards. All I can do is help you though. It's the least I can do to make it up to you." I look at her. "and you don't need to be embarassed. I understand, you've changed, he's changed, it's going to be harder to talk to him now."

I nod with a sigh, closing my eyes and feeling the warmth of the sun's rays "Does he hate me now?" I ask

Zach- "Not even close. Have you seen the way he looks at you? He likes you. A lot. He skips lunch everyday and goes to the courtyard to be by himself and looks at old pictures of you guys that he never took out of his wallet," I tell her, "But you didn't hear it from me."

Alex- "How about... Anywhere but here?" i laugh, "Anywhere sounds good really."

I raised an eyebrow and did something I've never... /ever/ done before. Broken or not. I blushed. "What? No way"

Zach- "Seriously. I can prove it to you too."

Elli
"Okay then, prove it. Because I'm not believing it otherwise" I snapped with a hint of my old spark

Apperance: Light brown hair, with cinnamon tones to it, and a few hot pink streaks. It doesn't look emo on her, it actually looks completely cool. Is short and thin, with tannish skin. Pretty blue eyes that are usually hidden under a thick coat of eye makeup.
Personallity: Outgoing, energetic, fun, not easily angered. Doesn't really have a dark side like most people do, though she has a manipulative one.
Other: Got her nickname for being an expert thief, con artist, and lock-picker. That's why she's at this school, but other than that she's pretty normal. No drugs or anything, though from the way she acts (so hyper) some think she does them.

Zach- "Okay," I tell her as I pull out my phone and dial Jake's number. I put it on speaker phone as it rings.

Jake- my phone rings and I go to answer it. "What's up Zach?"

Zach- "Hey, I know you've told me a million times but can you tell me again how you feel about Elli?"

Jake- "Dude stay away from her. You know how much I like her. She's- she's beatuiful and smart and funny and... Dude I like her okay- a lot. Like a lot a lot so stay away from her. And don't tell her I told you. It'd be awkward."

Zach-"Your secret's safe with me. I'll back off. Talk to ya later."

Jake- "Bye." I hang up.

Zach- I lift my eyebrows up at Elli. "Proof enough?"

I blushed again as I searched for the words to describe how I felt. Remorse... confused... happy? "I think I like him to" I muttered too quickly for Zach to understand

Zach- "Huh? I didn't catch that."
