Simon: "And what brings you on this wonderful ship bound for New York?"

Qnyx: "my brothers dumb luck. He got us tickets in a game of crap, and who would turn that down?" I shrugged.

Simon: "You let your brother gamble? Most women would be very unhappy with gambling men."

Onyx: "He has dumb luck. and with the way our lives were going, we needed the money." I shrugged. It cost us every penny we had to get clothing 'acceptable' to be in first class. We didnt want to stand out. "But, I dont like him gambling. His luck will run out, then where will we be? He's not all that bright, so finding a job would be hard for him. And no one will hire me because i am a girl."

Simon: "Then you should marry a rich man." I suggested.

Onyx: I laughed hallowy. "I've thought of that. Its not as easy as it sounds." Especially for a girl like me. "Guys arent exactly lining up to marry me, especially rich men. So, as easy as it sounds to just get married to one, it isnt that easy."

Simon: "And what makes it so difficult for a rich man to find anything in you?"

Onyx: "I'm to smart for my own good. I never stop thinking. I speak my mind. They dont find that 'lady like' and they dont want that in a wife." I mumbled.

Simon: "Well, someday you'll find someone. Maybe in America." I smiled.

Onyx: "Maybe." I sighed. Romance was just another puzzle i needed to solve.

Note: Madeline's older brother, fiercely protective, has an 18 month old daughter, Fiona, pale blonde hair and blue eyes, pale and plump.

Simon: "Perhaps you are overthinking this a bit, though." I said, studying her.

Are they okay? And are there any free characters that I can talk with?

hmm.... I can make Victoria come out of her room and she can talk with someone?

Victoria: I sighed, a little bored, and walked upstairs to the deck. I wanted to a bit of exploring while everyone was saying farewell to their families. I spotted a man with the most adorable child I had ever seen. I walked up to him, curtsied a bit, then looked up at him. "Good day sir, and pardon me, but your child is simply adorable." I smiled.

Nate smiled and looked down at Fiona, who was batting at the blonde cowlick on her forehead. She was his light, he path of good. "Thank you, Miss. Thank you for the compliment." Nate put his head to Fiona's ear and asked her to greet the woman. Fiona waved a plump hand in the air with a small smile.

Victoria: I smiled more, and waved to the cute little child. "You are very welcome, sir."

Nate perked up and set Fiona a little higher on his hip. "May I ask what a name is give to such a lovely young lady?" Nate asked, bowing his head a little.

Victoria: "Miss Victoria Brady, sir. And who might you be?" I curtsied again a little.

Nate smiled. "My name is Nathaniel Webber. It's a pleasure to meet you," he said, putting on a smile and setting Fiona down. Fiona clung to his leg,hiding her face.

Victoria: "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Webber." I said brightly.

ONyx: "Possibly." I shrugged. I did tend to over think things. OR so i was told.
