Nukes with Wings

Robyn: "I dont know, you seem a little more creative then 'most guys' " I told him, quickly glancing down at my scuffed converse. "I've always admired anyone who can draw, or do anything well for that matter" I smiled.

Jaxon: I laughed. "I'm not that great. Really. But I'm decent."

" It's cool that you can draw anything at all! If I tried to draw a flower, it would come out looking like a turkey" I confessed, though I couldn't help but to smile at the utter truth of that sentence. "You know, I would love to see one of your drawings some time" I said nonchalantly, hoping he wouldn't take it strangely

Jaxon: I shrugged. "I can draw something right now if you'd like that."

Robyn: "ya, that would be cool" I bit my lip.

Jaxon: "okay. What should I draw?"

I considered that question for a moment. "Hmmm... Im not sure. It's your drawing, you should pick what you want" I said softly, setting my elbows on the table and resting my chin on my hands

Jaxon: I shrugged. "Okay. Give me a moment." I started drawing a drumset.

Robyn: I watched carefully as he sketched, the movement from one line to another quite captivating

Jaxon: I ignored the teacher, who kept teaching, and hoped I'd finish in time to show my sketch to Robyn.

Robyn: I almost didn't notice when the teacher turned and asked me a question, causing the room to go silent. Suddenley I felt as if my every flaw was being showcased. Knowing Id paid zero attention to the actual lesson, I quickly looked up at the notes scrawled across the white board. "um, 1942" I answered. With a displeased look she went back to talking, and I went back to watching him draw

Jaxon: "Nice," I told her as I added some finishing touches to my sketch.

Robyn "Thanks" I said softly, still blushing from the whole incident. I hated having everybody watch me, I felt so vulnerable

Jaxon: I finished my sketch and showed it to her. "What do you think?"

Robyn: I studied every detail, amazed at how clean and smooth it all seemed. "this...this is great" I told him honestly, looking up with a wondered smile.

Jaxon: I grinned. "You really think so?"

Robyn: "absolutely" I smiled back, biting my lip in my nervous habit. I looked up dat the clock, disappointed as the bell rang. I wish I had more time to talk to him.

Jaxon: I handed her the drawing. "Here, keep it."

Robyn: I gently took it from his hand and smiled meekly at him. "thanks". Just as he was walking away, I made a bold move possibly the boldest Ive made in my life. "hey, um, maybe we could go grab coffee or something after school?" I asked nervously. a million doubts poured into my head. why would he ever want to go get coffee with a girl like me? why would anyone?

Jaxon: I raised an eyebrow. "I guess. I don't really like coffee, though."

Robyn: I laughed lightly. "good, I don't either". I'd only suggested it because it was easy, so I was relieved I wouldn't have to force down the bitter liquid. "so, maybe we could meet up at like, 3:30 or something?"

Jaxon: I shrugged. "Sounds good."
