New Kids on the Block

The voice that comes out of Terra's phone can barely be called a voice. It is merely a harsh buzzing, interspersed with an odd clicking noise.

"That's kinda weird," says Dawson. "Sounds like an insect trying to talk human."

Terra- I snap my phone shut and shove it into my bag. Then I turn to leave the library. "I'm going to go check out that explosion. Anyone want to come with?"

"Uh..." begins Dawson. "Are you sure that's a good idea?"

He is about to expand on his doubts when Conor's phone rings.

Alice: I look at Conor. "Just great." I said geting alittle freaked out. "$20 says that it is the same person." I said rolling my eyes.

Terra- I shift from foot to foot. "Well, how else are we going to figure out what's going on? Besides, I'm prepared, at least." I pull a can of pepperspray, a brick, and a pocketknife out of my bag, then after tucking them back in, continue, "Besides, if its any of the beasties Carter described, I think we'll be in trouble either way."

"I think Conor should answer it," says Dawson. "It might be the person who killed Carter."

Terra- "Problem with that. Carter is dead. I don't think he'll be answering anything any time soon."

((Er... It's Conor's phone, not Carter's.))

(Oh! Wow! Dumb brunette moment... sorry, I thought 'Conor' was actually 'Carter')

Alice: I walked towards the door. "Well I am not just going to sit here and wait to be dead. I am going out to look around. Anyone comming?" I asked looking around.

Terra- "I am." I walk out of the library and look around.

(I can join now, if someone would be so kind as to explain this for me.)

((Basically, the characters are in the university library, and the librarian has just been killed while they had their backs to him, without a mark on his body. And the characters keep on getting phone calls from an unknown number, and when someone answered it, it was just a buzzing and clicking noise.))

"Well, if you think it's a good idea," mumbles Dawson. "This is freaky."
He follows the two girls out of the library.

Alice: I looked around and walked down the hall. "If I were a murderer freak were would I be." I said looking around. Yay first day at school and we already got a murder. I thought.

"In the sewers," says Dawson. "That's where they always are in films."

Alice: I roll my eyes. "Yes and movies are so correct." I said sarcasticly. I felt my powers get more powerful and I smiled. "Finally." I said

Terra- "You got a better idea?"

Alice: I looked at her and nodded. I light my hand on fire and threw it up in the air. "It should help."

Terra- as freaky as that was, I knocked her hand down. "Do you mind? There could be a serial killer or something on the loose, and you just told everyne in the vicinity where we
are."

Alice: I rolled my eyes. "It is invisible to normal humans and my powers are stronger now."

Terra- I sigh. I have absolutely no idea what that means, but I take Dawsons advice and head to the sewer. I know where it is because I see it almost every day for the past four years. It says, 'SEWER. NO ENTRY ALLOWED.' On the top of a manhole cover.

Alice: I followed her and rolled my eyes. "When they say no entry they mean come on in!" I pulled the cover off and went down.

Terra- I follow her down, then turn to her. "Look. I know you have 'powers' or whatever, but please try to be stealthy. Or at least quiet. We don't all have death wishes." With that, I walk down the dimly lit sewer.

Alice: I rolled my eyes and lite my hand on fire. "This should help us see what is in front of us."

Terra- "Fine." I turn away and walk cautiously down the sewer.
