Brea: I pinched his arm. "I said promise."

Adam: "What am I promising?"

Brea: "Ice cream. That's it. Remember the whole I'll smack-you-if-you-try-anything? That still applies."

Adam: "I'm not gonna try anything!"

Brea: I nodded. "Good." And quit pinching him. I stood up, shifting my weight to my good ankle. "Let's go."

Adam: "Thanks for not giving me a bruise," I said. "Alright, let's go."
