The Mermaids of Crest point

Nico: I lead her over, about a mile from the reef. There was a few dolphins over here. I showed her and they all stopped. I pet one of them and smiled.

Jason: "Almost a month. What are your powers?"

Addie: I smiled when I saw the dolphins. I went up to one and started petting it. I glanced at Nico. "That's amazing. How did you know they were here?"

Kara- "Right now, I just know about hearing over long distances," I replied.

Jason: I nodded. "Yeah that's kind of a fun power. I hate feeling others emotions though." I crinkled my nose and led her to an area that had a lot of fish.

Kara- "Really? Why's that?"

Jason: "Because I feel every emotion possible then. Like back in the cave, I knew Jerome and that girl had feelings for each other. It was oozing off of them." I said with a sigh.

Kara- "Yeah, I guess that could get annoying. I ended up listening to their conversation through a rock wall. Sometimes my super hearing makes me feel intrusive, even though I don't mean to be, you know?"

Jason: "I do know. I also have super hearing." I said with a soft chuckle.

Kara- "Well, I guess that means we have something in common, besides the tails." I smiled.

Jason: "What do you do in your free time?"

Kara- "Usually I just read out on my deck. I like to read with the ocean in view, it's beautiful."

Jason: "Yeah, that sounds nice. Reading also happens to be what I do. Favorite book, author, color, band, singer?"

Kara- "Hmm, let's see...Waterfall, Jane Austin, emeral-green, the Monkees, and Christina Grimmie," I replied.

Kara- "What about you?"

Jason: "I don't ave a favorite book, but as geeky as it sounds I like romances, once again, I don't have a favorite, green, Linkin Park, Kelly Clarkson. What's your favorite movie?" I said with a grin.

Kara- I smiled, almost laughing at his thinking it was geeky for a guy to like romances. "I don't think it's geeky," I said. "My favorite movie is definitely Leap Year."

Jason: "Well that's nice to know." I said with a grin. "Looks like we have another thing in common." I said.

Kara- I felt myself blushing. "Yeah, I guess so."

Jason: I smiled at her. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to talk to someone and get to know them. I was with her though. I heard a noise and grabbed her hand and led her to the noise.

Kara- I guess he heard the same sound I did, and we were both equally curious. "What do you think that was?"
