James moved faster, with more energy, trying to keep up with her without hurting her. they finally slowed after a while and he held her close, kissing her gently.

Artemis clung to him, her breathing ragged and her side throbbing, but she didn't care. "you really want to try again?" she asked quietly, breaking away from his kisses

"I would like to, yes. But only if you want to." James said with the same ragged breathing as he held her tight, his fingers trailing up and down her spine.

Artemis remained thoughtful for a moment before bringing him back to her "I think do" she smiled softly

James smiled at her and kissed her, again entangling their bodies.

Artemis gave a soft laugh of delight and lost herself in him once more, their bodies moving as one in perfect harmony, she never wanted it to end

Jess didn't know how long they had kept it up for. He finally slowed, but still held her close, not letting go. He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath then looked at her to make sure she was alright.

Artemis looked up at him and... smiled, go figure. She stroked his face and kissed his cheek, her body humming in pleasure

James smiled, holding her close. "How are you feeling?"

Artemis gave a content sigh "wonderful" she replied, not yet aware of her bloodied bandages

James smiled and then felt something wet against his stomach. He looked down and his eyes got wide. Curses flew from his mouth as he got up and pulled on his pants, his stomach covered in her blood. "I'm so sorry." He repeated, his tone a mixture of concern, and anger towards himself. He rushed around, trying to find something to fix her up with.

Artemis looked around wildly, not understanding why he was freaking out. She looked down to her stomach and grimaced. Oh. whoops. "I'm fine" she called out weakly, but he had already left the tent. Crap.

James came back with a healer, his face blank. The healer went over and began to fix her up while James had inner termoil that made him want to go jump off a cliff.

Artemis winced as the healer worked on her, just realizing how sore she was. She searched his face, desperately wanting him to met her gaze. He was mad at her.. now he was going to divorce her, she could feel it

James finally brought himself to meet her eyes. His were filled with tourment and unspoken apologise for hurting her.

"i'm fine" Artemis repeated, begging him to believe her
