Children of the Fire

"I dont want to go.." Megan whispered.

Bryce- "Are you having issues with other students?" I hated when people picked on others, making them feel weak.
(And he's a dragon slayer. ironic!)

(haha I know right!)

Megan shook her head. "I just dont want to go..."

Bryce- I would probably get in trouble for this, just tossing aside my duties for a person. But she didn't seem like just another person to me. "How about after school?"

Megan looked at him. "After school? Me and you hanging out?" she asked feeling her cheeks get warm.

Bryce- "Well yeah. Why not? It would be nice to hang out with someone I actually know," I replied. I smiled.

Megan smiled and said "Okay..." She felt her heart gain speed.

Bryce- I smiled again. "Great! So, I'll see you tomorrow then after school. Oh, where do you want to meet up?" That would be a good thing to know.

"How about down by the pier? say um 2:30?" Megan offered.

Bryce- "Sounds like a plan," I said. "I'll see you at 2:30" I wanted to give her a kiss on the cheek, like she did with me, but I decided against it. I didn't want to make her feel awkward.

Megan smiled and turned to open her door.

Bryce- "Good night, sweet Megan," I said softly. Wait a sec, why did I call her sweet? I felt my cheeks go red in embarressment.

Megan smiled and turned "Good night Bryce." She kissed his burning cheek.

Bryce- This time, I was somewhat more prepared for her kiss, but I still felt embarressed at what I had said.
(I thought that would be such a cute moment for them.lol)

Megan smiled and unlocked her door. "Goodnight." SHe whispered.

(Ok)

Bryce- I watched Megan leave, then turned to go back to my home. I smiled as I walked down the sidewalk. It felt good not having to worry about my duties as a dragon slayer for once. Being with her made me more relaxed than I'd ever been with my own parents, strict as they are. When I reached my house, I climbed up a tree that rose up to my window and I entered into my room. After changing into some pjs, I slipped into bed and fell asleep, dreaming of Megan the whole night.

Bryce- I woke up the next day feeling so happy. I was still thinking of last night...and Megan. "2:30," I said our meeting time with a smile. I quickly got dressed, grabbed my books and my dagger. It would be wierd to take my sword to school. My parents always told me to keep any weapon with a blade at hand at all times. I went outside and drove my car to school. It was crowded with people, and quite possibly dragons disguising their nasty selves from sight. All business now, I entered the school with a serious face.

David:
I smile and say, "Hi Mara!"

Mara- I smiled back. "Hey, David. How're you feeling?" I was concerned from last night's attack.

David:
I look down at my damaged arm and say, "Just a scratch. No big deal" I shrug.

Mara- "It looks like it hurts," I replied.

David:
"Nah" I say. "Its fine". I am actually thinking to myself without knowing of Mara's power, god this hurts like hell.

Mara- I wanted to help ease David's pain, but he'd probably feel awkward that I knew what he was thinking. "So you'll be okay while flying?" I asked, even though I knew it would probably hurt him.

Megan woke up and sighed. Bryce was on her mind. She got up and dressed. She came out and saw everyone starring at her. She was basiclly the only emo kid. Megan rolled her eyes and left.
