Children of the Fire

Mara- I grinned as I flew behind a flock of birds, and decided to give them a little surprise. Shifting into complete dragon form, I zoomed through the cloud of feathers and beaks, laughing as they squawked in total shock. I love doing that, I thought.

Ayah : I trudged through the dense forest till I came to a small cabin. With a small smile I stepped inside and dropped my bag to the floor.

Colin: Come on Colin!" Coach yelled. "You can swim faster than that!" I grimace and pushed harder.

David:
My head snaps up as I see a shadow over head. Another dragon. I can't be sure if its hostile. Maybe it knows where I live, I need to lure it away from my family. I leap off the balcony of my house and my wings grow from my back, I soar up and around my house trying to get her attention.

Mara- I sensed someone close. Whoever it was was concerned about his family. I looked down to see another dragon flying towards me. My danger sense wasn't kicking in, so maybe he didn't have any desire to attack. I slowed down for him to catch up. "Hello," I said, trying to be friendly.

David:
No danger I thought, she could be masking it somehow though. "Who are you? Why are you here?"

Mara- "I'm Mara," I replied. "I'm just flying around scaring birds for fun. What are you doing here?"

Ayah paused, there was a strange feeling near by. (She's not good at sensing others)) she looker around the cabin before going back out and climbing on top using a latter.

David:
I felt small so instead of flying as a human with wings I shift to full size. My red scales covering my body. "I live here" I say matter of factly.

Mara- I watched him shift to a dragon. I guess my size sort of intimidated him a little. "I wasn't intruding or anything," I explain. "I just love to fly. You can't really do that in the daytime, which I really hate."

David:
I nod, "I understand" I say. "Where do you live? Far from here?"

Ayah couldn't see anyone but she felt them. Annoyed she made herself small wings and took off into the sky.

Mara- "It's not that far, only a couple of blocks from here." I motion behind me. "My family's really close to the beach."

David:
I look over seeing the ocean. I nod, "I am David by the way"

Mara- "I'm Mara. Nice to meet you."

David:
"Where are you going to school?" I ask, knowing that summer was only going to last until tomorrow.

(Hmm what's a good name for a school?)

(Um... Coastal High School?)

(I'm good with that.)
Mara- "Coastal High School," I reply. "What about you?"

David:
"Cool, me too" I say smiling. It looks kind of ghastly when I am in dragon form but she is another dragon so she might understand.

(haha I was gonna do the same thing with the smiling, but I don't know why I canged my mind.lol)
Mara- "That's cool," I said. "You know, sometimes I fly to school, but not like right above the houses! That would be crazy. There's a forest that's really huge, so I fly that way. I love to feel the sun when I'm flying. Maybe you could fly with me, if you want to." I also tried to smile. It's not exactly an easy task when you're a dragon, but that's just how it is.

David:
"Sure" I said. "When?"

Mara- "I usually get up at around seven. Just come to the beach at around 7:50." I could feel that someone close by was nervous for some reason. I looked over to see another dragon stopping short in flight. "Wow, I never knew there were so many dragons who lived around here."

Ayah changed her mind and went back home. She needs to her homework done.

Colin sighed, practice was finally over. He stared home, then changed his mind and went down to the beach.

David:
I look over and say, "I've never met her"
