Children of the Fire

Bryce- I leaned close and kissed her. "Does that answer your question?"

Megan nodded and closer her eyes and sighed. Her lips were tingling.

Bryce- I smiled. It was good to feel a different emotion, instead of the one my parents drove into me. I enjoyed this emotion. I enjoyed being with Megan.

Megan bit her lip and her eyes went from his face down. She stopped and blushed she was checking him out. Megan sighed and closed her eyes but all she saw was her father yelling at her and abusing her.

Bryce- "Hey, our food and drinks are here," I said, watching the waiter bring us a full tray.

Megan opened her eyes and tried to calm down her racing heart. She gave the waiter a small smile and thanked him.

Bryce- I grinned as I place the football-sized fry basket in the middle of the table. "I certainly hope you're really hungry."

Megan laughed softly "We will just have to see." SHe said picking up a fry and eating.

Bryce- I took a quick sip of my soda before grabbing three fries and eating them.

Megan ate half of the fries and leaned back in her seat. "Wow I feel fat." She said with a smile.

Bryce- I chuckled. "Well you're not." I smiled.

Megan laughed softly "Tell that to my dad." She said without thinking. She closed her mouth and looked stright ahead.

Bryce- I noticed her reaction. "What is it?"

MEgan shook her head. "N-nothing." She said not looking at him.

Bryce- I frowned slightly and draped an arm lightly across her shoulders. "You know, you can tell me anything. But if you don't feel like it, you don't have to. Just know that I'm here for you no matter what."

Megan nodded and laid her head down on his sholder.

Bryce- I smiled and began to stroke her hair.

Megan looked at him and said "Never leave me." She whispered.

Bryce- I looked at her and smiled. "I promise I will never leave you, unless it is neccessary. I care about you a lot, you know."

"I know... I feel the same way." Megan said with a smile and she kissed his color then his neck.

Bryce- I smiled and kissed her forehead softly.

I found and empty table and sat down, taking out my lunch bag and opening it. Sandwich, juice, apple...it never really changed from day to day. Which was how I liked it.
