Re: Minds' Eye Collab Discussion
I still think that it should be in first person. Whether we have the PoV switch for entire chapters or individual scenes doesn't matter to me. Also, if we go the chapter route, we could have the person's name as the chapter name, and the chapter could be any length (I've seen some books that did that where the shortest chapter was a mere paragraph). In Soulbonders, however, what I do is tack the character's name on at the start, nice and bold so you can see it (like in my posts). If the PoV switches within a chapter, I put a page break before the new person's name.
Argument for first person narration: I've polled numerous people, and most readers prefer reading books in the first person.

+1 approve for 1st person. And for the bold POV indicators.
My book is in alternating 1st person. Well, it will be...when I sort out August's whining issue.

Rofcm xD
So, discussion on actually starting the thing. It was proposed in the chat box that every author finds an odd, new door where there wasn't one previously, and winds up in the mansion. Where to go from there?

Hmm, well, of course they would go through the door. Then where should they end up? On a strange street vacant except for an enourmous mansion's front gate? In a sort of circus-type place where a mysterious announcer promises an entrance into a strange world of fiction? A gathering of other writers listening to a strange old man in a tophat recite poetry and give promises? I HAVE NO IDEA. I like the idea of showing up at the front gate though, but it almost seems like there needs to be something more too it...but not too complicated. Anyhow, Mr. Nobody would eventually show them in and give a tour as he did in the original chat.

I like the idea of showing up at the front gate. And then Mr. Nobody going to talk to them.
Heh, reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in that regard
