Daggerhorn..

The healer pursed her lips for a moment and gave a slight nod. "More or less. She's sick mostly. Low on nutrients and rest."

Lark winced, "I've been trying.......what can I do? No matter what I feed her it comes right back up, which wakes her up when I finally get her to sleep."

The healer sighed. "I've been giving her this," she held up a small green bottle with liquid sloshing around inside it. "It's filled with what she needs until she is somewhat better and is easy on the stomach. But it won't be long and she'll be needing real food." The woman handed him a few herbs. "If you make her eat those, just the flower, it will help her nausea. Or at least it should."

Nodding Lark took the items and sat down next to Sariah.

Sariah stirred, her face twisting into agonizing fear. "lark?" she whispered with a panicked voice. "Lark?" Her voice began to rise. "Lark! LARK!" Her body twisted in termoil over the nightmare.

"Shh....I'm right here." He said holding her close. He made soothing nosies and patted her back .

Sariah clung to him, tears pouring down her face as she made him lay with her, not allowing him to leave her in any way, shape, or form as sobs shook her chest.

Lark continued to try and calm her.

the baby kicked and artemis awoke, sad to find herself alone. She cradled her stomach and got dressed, ignoring the vertigo and sitting on the edge of the bed, unsure what to do with herself.

James came back from doing chores, carrying food in his arms. "Goodmorning beautiful." He said with a smile and kissed her gently.

Sariah tried her best to stop crying, her sobs turning into violent coughs as she clung to him.

Artemis grinned widely "morning" she chirped, eying the food, grateful her mourning sickness had finally passed

James sat next to her and held out the choices he had brought for her. "dig in." He chuckled with a smile.

Artemis complied and eagerly devoured her share, her thin body happily taking in the nutrients "thank you"

"Of course." James said with a chuckle as he ate a roll, offering her some more, letting her know it was alright if she wanted more.

Artemis gave an abashed smile and grabbed another role, still starving. "how are you feeling?" she asked in between bites

"I'm feeling arlight, just a little sore is all." James said with a small smile. Sore was an under statement. "How are you feeling?"

Artemis placed a hand on her stomach "tired" she answered truthfully. "dreadfully tired."

James smiled as he watched her. "Then sleep, it will be alright." He stroked her hair gently and kissed her forehead.

Lark held her worried, patting her back. "Shh......"

Artemis shook her head "no, I want to spend time with you"

James chuckled and set the food down and made her lay down, tucking the blankets around her and laid next to her. "Now you're spending time with me. You can sleep."

Sariah finally got control of herself and burried her face in his chest. "Don't let go." She teared, still feeling like she was about to break into a billion quivering pieces.

Artemis pouted and let her hands trace his chest. "but that's no fun"

James raised a brow at her and chuckled. "Then what do you suggest we do?"

She cuddle up to him, "well since you won't let me leave the bed..."

James chuckled and held her close. "You're going to go to sleep?" he asked teasingly, but slightly hopeful. He didn't want her to wear herself out.
