Lou watched him, raising a brow as a nurse walked in. She sighed and began to work on him, fixing his bandages and stitches.

Jackson growled under his breath and shot Lou dirty looks the whole time.

Lou watched him amused and shook her head, yawning a little, her eyes wanting to droop. This was the longest she had stayed out of her room in days. The longest she had stayed awake. The nurse fixed the rest of his bandages, then turned and saw Lou's yawn and sighed, moving to behind the wheel chair and began to take her from the room. Lou frowned and held out her good hand to Jackson, wanting him to come along.

Jackson stood, and immediately clutched his head at the wave of dizziness that swept through him. Pushing it away he stumbled forward and took her hand, unwilling to let go of the one person he knew.

The nurse glarred at him but complied, letting him come with to Lou's room. The nurse lifted Lou into her bed, tucking her under the covers. Lou rolled her eyes slightly, but couldn't help the fact that she liked it, the blankets were warm and smelled clean. With a wince, Lou scooted over and patted the bed beside her, making room for Jackson as well.

Jackson only hesitated for a moment before carefully laying down beside her, trying not to mess up his shoulder again. He put a little space between them, unsure of what she wanted him to do.

Lou grabbed the pen and paper from beside her bed and scribbled across it before handing it to him. What else do you remember?

Jackson thought for a moment, painkillers setting into his system. "Not much. I can remember an older women with brown hair and kind eyes, but not anything except what she looks like. I can kinda see a stuffed animal being handed to me by a little girl and feeling so happy she gave it to me. And I remember playing lots and lots of piano."

Lou blushed and looked at him. He honestly remembered the teddy bear? She looked down at the pad and scribbled across it. The woman is grandmom, and you love to play the piano. You played every time you could get anywhere near enough to tickle those ivories.

Jackson frowned for a moment, something causing him to pause, I remember playing the piano, but I can't remember how to play." He wrote his eyebrows drawing together in annoyance. "And whose the little girl? Do you know? I can remember that I liked her."

Jackson's eyes got wide for a moment before he got a wide grin. "See? I do remember you!" He said aloud excitedly then remembered to write it down happily humming a tune under his breath.

Lou smiled and laughed silently as she shook her head. She adjusted herself so her head was resting against his shoulder, and wrote you're doing great. I'm surprised that you remembered the teddy bear actually. She yawned, her eyes staring to droop.

Jackson thought about replying for a moment buy as her eyes started to droop he thought he would just leave her alone. Replying meant that she had to open her eyes to read it and that would be mean if her woke her up for that. So instead he thought further of what to do, finally ending with putting an arm over her shoulders and holding her close.

Lou found herself falling asleep in Jackson's arms, glad to have his comfort that kept her from breaking. She had been so close today, so close to letting those tears fall. But as always, Jackson made everything better. Not that he remembered though.

Jackson felt his eyes start to fall shut as he lost the fight to stay awake. He desperately reached for something in his mind to distract himself from drifting off but found himself falling into the blackness of a dreamless sleep.

A few hours later Lou found herself jolted awake, the vibrations from a clash of thunder scaring her. She looked around with wide eyes before hiding herself in Jackson's side.

Jackson shifted in his sleep, only a little disturbed by the thunder and her. His arm went tighter around her, pulling her closer as his sleep covered mind seeked a familiar touch to keep him under the blanket of exhaustion.

Lou didn't fall back to sleep, she just clung to him, the vibrations from the thunder felt funny. It was interesting how her other senses had heightened to accomidate for her lack of hearing, though in some instances such as this one, she wished they hadn't. Thunderstorms were never her favorite thing. Lightning flashed across the windown and she jumped, burrying herself deeper into Jackson's side, trying to hide.

Jackson woke suddenly and glanced at her, his fuzzy mind struggling to recall who she was. It dimly pulled up some of what they had been discussing earlier and he relaxed a little. "You alright?" he wrote grabbing the paper and pencil from where it had been placed on the table next to him.

I don't like thunder storms. Lou wrote back, keeping herself burried in his side so she could still hide.

Jackson blinked, then realized that it was storming outside. Wow, did he feel dumb. "Thats okay," He wrote back with a goofy grin. "I'll protect ya from it." He moved his free arm to show her his muscles, "See?"

Lou watched him and raised her brow, a small smile playing on her lips. Okay, she wrote, though she stayed tucked into his side. Tell me what you remember about our conversation.

Lou smiled widely That's great! You're getting better at this! She adjusted herself slightly, wincing as she did so. Can you remember anything else about before the accident?
