Frosted Hearts

Alison looked around while sitting next to skye. She looked a ther hand and lit it on fire. She played with the fire and threw it at the wall closes to them. She laughed.

Crystal didn't notice anything unusual. She walked in and looked around in amazement, the door went into a long dark hall covered in portraits. She stared at each one until she got close to the end and ran forward, too excited to keep looking. The last portait on the wall, one she missed, was of a women and a man, the former queen and her husband, the rightful King. He looked just like Crystal. A moment later, when all the newbies had come in Jasmine walked in silently and removed the portrait, taking it back to her office.

Crystal walked into their room amazed even further. "Look how big it is!" she declared spinning in a circle. "It's bigger than the top floor of my house!"

"Will you exucse me?" Alison asked nicely and walked away. She had something on her mind and she walked passed another guy and tripped.

Artemis laughed "it just might be bigger than my house!" she joked, staring around in awe too

Skyler: I smiled. "Yeah, no problem." i said, continuing to play random songs absently.

Crystal proceeded to run from room to room eagerly, there was two bed rooms with their own master bathrooms and walk'in closets. A island in the the main room, sat infront of a kitchen. The main room/living room, had a large couch and a couple of over stuffed chairs, a tv with DVD sitting infront of it.

Artemis ran around as well, her head ache forgotten as she explored at her new home. "wow" she breathed, settling onto one of the couches

Crystal settled in a chair and smiled, "This is amazing." She stared at the TV, "I haven't watched a movie since I was two." She pronounced and got up to look at the DVDs. "What's a good movie?"

Artemis thought for a moment "harry potter!"

Crystal's eyebrows drew together. "Harry Potter? What's that?" She gripped the movie and stared at the player for a moment after she opened the box, where did the circle go in the box?

Artemis watched her for a moment "you've never watched a movie before? seriously?' she got up and placed the dvd in, turning on the tv and pressing play

She eyed her small, beat up bag on the chair that was everything she owned. "Me and mom can't afford much, she has a job but you know how little the nongifted get paid." She scooted back on the floor and started at the T.V. intently.

Artemis nodded, knowing all to well. "At least we've drawn a better lot" she sighed, sitting back down on the couch

Crystal jumped as the T.V. started making noises. Her eyes got huge as the picture came on. "It's moving!" She exclaimed excited.

Artemis chuckled "ya, that's the point.. ya seriously have never watched tv before?" I mean, her parents had been underpaid as well but they at least had tv

Crystal felt a memory tug on the edge of her mind, "When I was real little I can remember things being a lot different. We had T.V. I think. That was when Dad and David, my brother, were alive. David died when I was two." Her voice got soft. "Dad when I was three."

Artemis froze "oh.. I'm so sorry" she whispered

Crystal pushed the memory away, "Thanks, it was along time ago. Me and mom have been good." She couldn't help comparing their run down house in her mind with the dorm. She'd been kidding when she said the dorm was bigger than the top floor of the house, it was bigger than her whole house. "What's this movie about?" She asked pulling her knees up under her chin, forcing the depressing thoughts away.

"wizards, prophecies, and magic wands" Artemis chirped, watching her carefully

"Sounds," Crystal searched for a good word. "Interesting."

Artemis laughed, "indeed, it is" she turned back to the movie "watch, I bet you'll like it"

Crystal nodded and watched the people on the screen, soon she was completely drawn into it, her eyes wide in the right spots. Tears fell down her cheeks when Harry almost died. At the end she stared at the screen. "Its over?" She asked disappointed..

Artemis laughed again "yes and now, there are other movies for this series. you liked it?"

Crystal nodded, then her eyes got wide. "What were we spose to do after we pit our stuff in our rooms? Something about getting our class schedule...." Oh crud.......she hadn't been listening .......

Alison pulled her self off of the floor and sat near a wall. Her hand lit on fire and she began to play with the fire. It danced all along her arm and she smiled.
