Artemis's eyes snapped up at the voice, the fact that it was solid and actually spoken drawing her out of her dizzying marry-go-round. She flinched, just noticing the girl next to her. when did she get there? w-o-w, she was losing it.
of all the rotten abilities to get, did this have to be one of them?

They were dropped off at the beginning of a long drive thy is the only path through a forest of sorts. Halfway Down is a fancy black gate that connects to a black iron fence that runs around a large area. There are about ten building in this area, they are also surounded by trees. The buildings are huge, silver stoned . The dorms are off to the right, a building to boys and a building for girls. Any questions? ))

Skyler: I grinned. "When my powers are cooperating, which they usually dont, i can tell almost everythign about a person in seconds. I can see memories, feel what other people feel, hear thoughts. But most of the time it doesnt work when i want it to and goes crazy when i want it to turn off. Ive gotten better at keeping it quiet when i want it to but triggering it is a whole other problem. Oh, and if i randomly faint or look like, super out of it, im probably getting sucked into someone;s memories. But if i face palnt or just look mildly spacey.... well, that's just me being highly uncoordinated or typical spacey." i said.

Alison smiled but then she looked down. "Im guessing you know alot about me now right?" She asked with a shy smile.

Jasmine smiled, no doubt the kids didn't recognize her. "I am Jasmine Frost, if you follow me we will begin a tour of the campus. You probably wont recognize a thing when we are done but it's worth a shoot." She turned and walked back in the gate, Crystal staring at her as whispers came crime a little group next to her.
"That was the queen!" Was the words that caught her attention and Crystal's eyes went wide as she clutched her bag closer and walled towards the gate. If that was the Queen why did she look so much like Crystal?

Skyler: I chuckled. "Actually, no. My powers have settled for the moment, thankfully. Otherwise id probably get swamped and black out. Im getting a bit of an emotional reading from you, but nothing major. I havent been sucked into an entire movie of your life yet or anything." i said. I glanced up as the Queen herself appeared. "Oh, wow. A tour. Ive been there already, but it probably wouldnt hurt for me to tag along, since ive got nothing better to do and im incredibly lost." i said.


Kiyoni: I was surprised when the Queen herself appeared, but was conflicted when a tour was mentioned. On the one hand, i needed to know where places were, but on the other, i wasnt sure how much walking i could take. Never the less, i steeled myself and walked in the indicated direction, still levitating my bag.

Artemis stared at the retreating figure, wincing as the thoughts echoed through her head
'That was the queen!'
'Did you hear that? The queen!'
'Oh my goodness, I look wretched, do you think see saw me?'
Artemis gritted her teeth and followed the crowd, seriously getting annoyed by the 'not being able to control it' factor of her abilities. Wasn't it suppose to be a gift? .. didn't feel like it

Alison nodded and sighed. "Okay then..." SHe felt alittle hurt but whatever she didnt care. She grabbed her suitcase and turned to walked down the hall.

Crystal decided to walk next to the girl who looked sick, just in case something happened.
Jasmine gave the usual introduction this was the school for the gifted, founded in blah blah blah. Finally she stopped before two buildings. They were probably four or five stories(sp).
"These are the dorms. To my right is the girls, to the left is the boys. Rules of conduct are posted in the Commons but the biggest rule is no boys or girls out of their dormatories after dark. No exceptions without a signed slip from a teacher."

Artemis glanced over at the girl and gave her a smile smile, glad for the company. She didn't say anything though, in fear that, that would open up her mind to her and she'd be hearing yet another strangers thoughts

Jasmine kept talking.
Crystal smiled back at the girl, the winds picking up slightly. "Hello." She whispered so not to get anyone else's attention. "Crystal." She offered a hand.

Artemis swallowed hard and shook her hand, trying hard to fight back the vile as the touch opened up the girls mind to her "artemis ... new here too?"

Crystal nodded, "Yes, my birthday was yesterday." Stupid weather she thought glaring at the sky for a moment as thunder echoed her nervousness. "Nice to meet ya."

Artemis nodded, unable to help sensing the girls disgruntlement with the weather "that's you causing that" she stated, for she knew it to be true

Crystal looked at her curiously, "Yeah." She paused for a moment considering the options of how Artemis knew that. "Mind reader." She decided firmly.

"Okay, partner up." Jasmine called out. "You have a chance to pick your roomie before I do it for you."

((I just realized that Crystal's future boyfriend in the book has the same gift as Artemis basically! XD.))

(XD can artemis have multiple abilities? I just notice you've given all your charries one and I gave artemis the usual mind/telekinetic thing)
Artemis's lips twitched "unfortunately" she looked toward the queen, feeling woozy as her latest announcement caused everyone to go into a frenzy and overwhelm her

((Sure, lolz, besides, Crystal has both earth and weather.))

Crystal cracked a smile, "Not that happy about your gift either?" She glanced at the people looking for roommates and shrugged, "Do you mind being partners?"

((whoa ok so Crystal controls that? Alison controls the elements is that a problem that they have sort of the same power??)

((Not at all, with so many variations of gifts at the school usually there would be a similar gift. Plus Crystal is mainly weather, she can't control her earth gift at all really. The one time she tried in my book she caused a mini earthquake. So you won't see her use it oft.))

(Yeah and Skyler can hear thoughts, and Kiyoni can move stuff..... so i dont even know anymore.)

Skyler: I got a small flash of hurt coming from her, but was totally baffled as to the cause of it. Most people liked me staying out of their minds. I followed the group back to the dorms, glad i wouldnt be wandering aorund for ages trying to find them again.


Kiyoni: I managed to keep up with everyone else and inspected the dorms. Nice place. But having a roommate would be annoying.

Artemis grimaced "no, no I am not. And of corses" she managed a smile back "I'd love to be"
