Earthquake of 1811 Empty Earthquake of 1811

Post by Bells Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:02 am

First of all the only real reason I'm putting this in here is that most of my past cc's have started out else where but got moved here so I'm just gonna start out right this time. Second is I am bored to death right now, and want a good old country romance, just for fun. So.....((Oh, and I warn you now that I have a plan to stick some action in here, *giggles...*...... http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/states/events/1811-1812.php

The time is December 10, 1812; In a little town in Northeast Arkansas. We'll start out and introduce our charries, let them get to know each other...I'll announce the date at the beginning of every new day so try to stay in the same times as the other charries, not exactly of course but just don't go jumping days ahead or I'll have to tell you to stop because It's imortant that we all reach December 16 at the same time so the plan works. I guess if needed I can scoot the starting date back a little but as I am running on very little sleep right now because my body seems to thing I don't need it I would not advise making me do so..... pale <---The face of the person who makes me move the date........

So, heres the sheet, thats really all I have to say...any questions ask...just try to stick to the time period guys, I don't want things they shouldn't have had back then showing up.....

Sheet:

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Job:(Only applies with most guys, as you know at this time the only real job for girls was to work at an inn or be a school teacher....only one school teacher if we must have one, two inn workers....))
Appearance:
*Personality:(( Suspect I dare you to comment on the spelling of this word...go on...do it.... Suspect ))
*Bio:

*means its optional, i didn't feel like typing the word twice.......

Post by Bells Tue Aug 02, 2011 1:54 pm

Isabel was up before the sun, too many chores to sit around and wait for the the day to begin without her. Heading into the kitchen she started to prepared breakfast for her father, he would be out mending fences today, that way the animals wouldn't be able to find a weak spot and escape.

Samuel pulled the pail from its spot in the corner of the bar and took a seat on his stool in front of the cow. Eyeing its hoofs wearily he bent down to begin milking it. Ol' Izzy was a mean cow that was bound to kick you more often than she let you milk her. Seems like today was a good day because she just mooed.

Anne lay in her bed staring at the ceiling as she hear Mrs. Daniels calling her from down stairs. Pulling herself from the bed she dressed in a simple pale blue dress and headed down the stairs. Time to go to work.

James slid off his horse and gave him to the stable boy. He grabbed the pack that held his tools and made his way into the inn. He'd need a place to stay since he was so far from home. Some rancher was paying him a lot of money to shoe all his horses. Apparently he'd got a lot.

Anne sighed and stuck another pan of biskets in the wood stove and glanced up. A customer. Wiping off her hands she pulled off the apron and walked form behind the kitchen doorway and smiled. "'ello sir. Are you lookin' for a good meal or a 'ed to rest on? We 'ave 'em both." She said, her voice having a strong twang.

Laughing

James took his hat off and wiped his forehead. "Bed 'n meal wouldn't be bad ma'am." He kept his stuff slung over his shoulder and his eyes swept the room and relaxed seeing as it looked peacful enough. He'd had enough of fights to last him a year.

Anne nodded and started back towards the kitchen, pausing for a moment as she turned back. "Food 'll be out in a minute, do ya want some tea with it?" She asked. "Or coffee?" She was trying to keep from giving the guy a look over, he was handsome for sure. But she was here to work, not look guys over.

James sat at a table and laid his stuff at his feet. "Coffee, very strong coffee." He yawned, not having slept in two days.

Anne nodded and hurried back into the kitchen, returning with a cup of coffee and a plate of eggs, bacon, and homemade bread. "'ere ya go sir. Holler if you need anything, I'll be in the kitchen." She then rushed back into the kitchen to check on her biskets.

He murmured a soft "Thank you." and picked up his fork to eat. He ate silently, staring at his table as his got lost in his thoughts. He rubbed his sore wrists. He had always knew that blacksmithing would be a difficult hard jod. He though, didn't know that he'd be working this hard. Apparently he had a gift with this.

Sorry about the slow replies, the 110 temperature is making it hard to focus.

Anne checked on the biscuits then grabbed a rag and went out to wash the tables, the regulars would be showing up soon for breakfast.

Tis ok. ^^

James found his eyes following her without his consent. He shook his head. A girl would only get in his way right now. He half-way agreed with himself and continued to eat.

She'd just finished when a man and women walked in. Greeting them with a smile she sat them at a table and brought out some food then came over to him again. "How ya doin' sir?"
