The Cox Family

The Cox family would be Ezra's kin. This chat is based off of my book Life, Death and Something in Between. For those of you who know Ezra, you may often hear about how he dislikes what his family does. Well it's time to be a part of the clan now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I'll post more details if needed.

Idea's and Mindsets:

The Cause: You may often hear this saying. Basically Ezra's grandfather was trying to take over the world, that idea was passed on to his son, or Ezra's father.

What Better Way Then To Make An Army Of The Dead?: Ghosts are often tortured using guilt-tripping (digging up their pasts and making them feel horrible about themselves) and mind torture (the ability to go into the victim's mind and dig up horrible memories, often leading to confessions, the victim basically relives each painful memory. If you go far enough, the victim can go insane).

Every Man For Himself: If you get in the way, like support or shelter the enemy, you can be killed. Most save themselves before they would save others. They will leave you behind.

Don't Trust If You Can't Be Trusted: Even though they work together, the whole family has suspisions....but as you know...a house divided can not stand.

That's Not My Name: Nick names aren't common here. Most are either called by their first name, or sir/ madam, or even Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms. The lower you are in training, or in the whole cause, you wouldn't be on a first name basis with the people who are higher up. Unless, they're your "friend" or are your age.

Important Rooms:

The Torture Room: Often where suspected enemies are brought here. The Cox Family has a number one enemy, who through out the years has thwarft plans. Most suspected enemies will be killed after the information has been recieved. Ghosts may also be brought here, if they do not listen or to dig up pasts. The Torture room consists of cells that victims are placed in. They are often magic proof and for the ghosts, they often are lined with the ghost's grave's soil so they can't escape.

The Training Room: Where all skills for combat are taught. Combat skills consist of spells, fighting, and using your abilities to bring down the enemy.

Living:

The entire opperation is done underground, but they connect to houses where most of the family lives. Some guards will stay underground at night to make sure no one escapes. Ghosts, of course, never leave unless ordered too. The children are normally home schooled, but due to a recent bit of important information, some older children are attending the local highschool for it is rumored the daughter of the whole enemy clan goes there. You don't have to be family to be in for the Cause, some are close friends.

Ghosts:

A little info about the ghosts here. All are basically prisioners, but the longer you have been here, the more you can be trusted and the more things you may oversee. The reason they follow orders is because they have been so guilt-tripped...they believe that the Cox Family can help them. The way it starts out is the family gains your trust, says they'll help you cross over, but in the process make you feel terrible about yourself...but hey...you can trust them...they'll never tell what you did. Ghosts on the day of their death, each year, will relive it.

Apperance: Light brown hair that runs to her shoulders in small waves, not quite curls. She has brown eyes with a small ring of green on the edges of them. A little pale and short. Kinda innocent looking despite the scars on the bottom half of her body from how she died.

Bio: (optional) Grace was visiting America with her mom, she was originally from Italy, when there was an earthquake in San Francisco where they happened to be. Her mother had come to meet with some important people and brought Grace along. The office building collasped, both her and her mom died. Her mother moved on, she didn't.

Agnela walked down the street. Her mind was racing. She was indanger and she knew it. Her power was acting... off. She shook her head with frustration. Blonde hair fell into her face and closed her eyes. She needed to get out of this place.

Demetrius

I walked through the underground hallways, navigating my way through out the entire building. My gun was safely hidden as I walked into the training room. I was filing in for Uncle Icabod, he was out sick today. I sat down on the desk, and looked at the almost filled class in the student desks. "All-righty class, let's get started. First up...freezing spells."


(They haven't taken over the world yet...they're still planning it.)

Angela walked faster through the street. Her powers were sort of... off. She could feel them like that. She took her hand and held it up to a tree. The tree burst into flame. SHe smiled. "I am back!!!" SHe said with a smile. She then went to a grave yard. She held her hand over one grave. She closed her eyes and said "Rise thoughs who will follow me." The 2 of the graves opened up. Things that looked like people came up out of the ground. SHe smiled and put them back into the ground. Okay so maybe they werent off.

Alexis: I opened my eyes only to find that i'm in a graveyard. What the hell? How did I end up here I was just at....? I can't remember where I was last at. I get up and try to grab the headstone to steady myself but it goes through. "What the hell." I say. I'm dreaming i say to myself but the headstone reads Alexis Burn and that is when I realize i'm dead. I sit down again and start to cry or at least try.

(YES!!! haha I have someone to talk to XD)

Angela looked around. She heard someone weeping .SHe looked over at a head stone. Of course she could see the ghost that haunt everyplace. SHe had control over the dead. "Are you okay? Oh... i am guessing you just found out that you were dead." SHe said kneeling. She watched the girl. "I am Angela... Anglea Blackwood."

Alexis: I looked up at the girl with blonde hair. "You can see me?" I say in surprise. I continue sitting when it regester that she said her name. "Oh I'm Alexis Burn."

"Yes I can see you...." Angela sighed. "Come with me." She said holding out her hand. She knew that the ghost couldnt really touch people only slightly but Angela could hold them by the hand like normal people. Of course she looked crazy but hey no body liked her anyway.

Abilities

1. Can see, touch, and talk to the dead...if you are blood to the Cox family you most likely will be able to do this...or at least one of these.

2. The gift of prophecy...less common...can be a blessing and a curse. The future is never set in stone.

3. Spells...and potions are often used. Each person may excell in different gifts.

Alexis: I tentivly reached out and was surprised to find that I could touch her. My eyes widened," Where are we going?"

(Hey can Ezra torture the new ghost? For questioning.....?)

(AAHHH poor Anglea XD She can see and touch the dead and also bringthem back.. and she can control fire oohh the glory...)

Angela smiled nicely. "Dont worry... just foloow me." She lead the new ghost down the pathway. "Do you rember anything of your past life?" She asked. She knew that it would be hard to talk about but... it helped.
