Meghan sighed and dropped her arms from around his neck, taking a step back. Why was he being so spastic about his shifts? She turned on her heel, her glossy hair following her like a cape, and went for the door. "Now I'm actually leaving."

Pretty soon Alex was a full great horned owl. {Fine. Have your fun up there.} He flew to the arm of the couch, watching her intently. Maybe...just maybe...the shifting power wouldn't be so bad... Alex could fly high in the sky without a care in the world.
