Peter, Danae, and Ezra

Okay, so it's late at night and I am totes too tired to form a very interesting post thingy for here. So, as the title states, this is a thingy for Peter, Ezra, and Danae.

The setting is the usual spot where Danae and Peter stargaze.

Danae sighed, laying back in the grass with a small smile as she tried to relax. It didn't take long to do so, it was always so easy when out here watching the stars with Peter.

"Hey Peter?" She asked after a moment, studying a stars with annoyance. "What's that one?"

Peter

"Dunno," I answered with a shrug. "I can't think of a similar one from my plane, either."

This was nice...just lying under the stars like this. It was something I actually got to look forward to each day, and, dare I say it...enjoyed. Being relaxed and content...was not a state I often got to experience.

((Meh...I've been writing her in first person in the book.. Ima do it here. ))

Danae

I frowned, absently tapping the ground as I continued to stare at the stare with annoyance.

"Oh," I paused, with a small smile. "We'll have to name it ourselves. What should we call it?"

With his nose in a book, Ezra walked along on the hill. Probably not the best idea....but he still did it. The stars and the moon provided enough light...sorta. He squinted at the pages, tripping and falling on his face right by Danae and Peter.

Peter

I was about to tell her that I had no idea what to call it because I really wasn't very creative...when Ezra spontaneously appeared and spontaneously performed a glorious faceplant.

I took a brief moment to laugh at his expense before speaking.

"Where the name of the gods did you just come from?"

Ezra pulled himself of the ground, his face flamming red as he let his black bangs cover his eyes. "I was reading....." He mumbled, scrambling to pick up the book. Great now his page was lost.

Danae

I couldn't help the giggle that escaped my mouth, watching Ezra with a bit of amusement. I mean come on, he just /face planted/. Forcing back another round of giggling I thought for a moment before standing, slowly stretching and eyeing him for a moment with a teasing smile.

"Come on Ez, you have to watch where you're going sometimes..."

Ezra raised an eyebrow, standing up and looking down at Danae. "Oh really? Haven't you done similar things?" He said, kissing her lips.

Danae

I giggled slightly, not really thinking about it as I lightly kissed him back then gave him a sly smirk.

"Nope, never. I'm a bit more coordinated then some people..." Letting my smirk get a bit bigger I kept then teasing tone to my voice, intertwining my fingers in front of myself happily.

It was nice being relaxed like this.

Peter

Well.

This was uncomfortable.

Yeah...just...you know...forget that there's a third person here and giggle and kiss each other. Whatever. That's fine. I'll just stand on the edge and try to ignore the public displays of affection. Don't mind me. Oh, and by all means, feel free to just completely and utterly shove me out of the conversation.

Right then.

Alienated, I quietly turned around and started to leave. It wasn't like I had anything to gain by simply standing here and witnessing what was obviously a private moment.

...And what was this funny feeling? It wasn't the awkward; the awkward was pretty easily identifiable. No...this was something else...though I had no clue what.

Danae

I caught a bit of movement out of the corner of my eye, and guilt suddenly flooded into my mind. How could I have left Peter out? I mean..he wasmy only real friend who..was just a friend. Turning away from Ezra I tried to push the guilt from my face as I spotted Peter and waved at him, stepping forward.

"Hey, please don't leave..er..cause...um....," I paused trying to figured what the freak I'd been trying to say.

Crap. Okay, no really good words came to mind. So..wing it. That would work right?

"Um..we..um..still need to name out star." I finished lamely, taking another step forward.

((I'm thinking that in the next post she could step in the area that will collapse..and yeah.))

Peter

I halted at her voice and turned slightly, still pretty uncomfortable.

"Um...I'm really not all that creative," I told her. "Honestly, it's fine... Don't mind me. I'll just be going..."

What was this feeling? The fact that I couldn't identify it was killing me. I couldn't even really describe what it felt like. It was just...there.

Ezra sighed, gah...Peter....he never got alone time with Danae anymore, he missed it and when he did...she seemed....distracted....

Danae

Oh gosh he was leaving. No. That wasn't right. I mean...both of my friends were here...with no violence... We should do something..not awkward. Surely there was something...

"Lets just..um.." I began, starting g forward to catch up with him. "Just..don't leave..um...how about we all wa- "

I was cut off at a strange noise beneath me..the a sudden drop as the earth beneath my feet seemed to disappear. A shout of surprise escaping my lips I felt myself go down with the ground, falling quickly and hard.

Then I found the ground again, with seemingly my foot and my head at the same time as I heard a snap when my foot hit earth, immediately falling g backwards to be consumed by black as my head struck something hard, my head going blank.

Peter

"Danae!" I shouted, my eyes going wide.

Thinking quickly, I jumped down the hole after her and switched from fire to wind. Featherfalling...that's what Izzy called it. The latent power of wind types. No matter what, they could always land lightly. Given that Danae likely fell straight down, I moved out of the way before landing.

"Danae?"

I switched back to fire, lighting my shirt sleeve with a thought. She was there, lying on the ground. I knelt down by her side and placed two fingers on her wrist, sighing with relief when I found a pulse. Now to address what happened...

Ezra jumped down into the whole after her, landing not so gracefully but unharmed. He crouched next to Danae, inspecting her leg. "It's broken, I can heal it though. I'll just need some ingrediants."

Peter

"I can tell it's broken," I said with narrowed eyes. "Don't insult me. I'm more worried about her head." Moron. "What do you need?"

I checked her head to make certain that the injury wasn't serious. Assured, I took my knife from my boot and cut some fabric from the bottom of my shirt. I then took my lockpicking tools from my other boot, using them to brace her leg. Finally, I bandaged the break with the fabric scraps and tied it all off.

Ezra

"Hmm...rosemary, thyme, witch hazel, mint, and lemon balm." I said, glarring back at him. It wasn't an insult, stupid. And for godsakes she was /my/ girlfriend, I could take care of her.

A low rumbling echoed from the opening of the cavern, dust starting to trickle down at first, then small rocks as the unstable entrance started closing. Then suddenly it was as if it all gave away, the larger rocks tumbling down speedily, any light provided by the outside blocked as the entrance quickly disappeared.

meh...i like third better...

Ezra quickly sheltered Danae's head, not wanting anymore damage to be done. Wow...it was dark in here. He held her gently and blinked, trying to adjust to the low light.

Peter

Well. This was a predicament.

"I'll look for more fuel," I said, quite sure that Ezra would rather stay with Danae. Herm... "We're going to need more fire. See if you can start gathering stones."

Without another word, I turned to look for anything that would burn. And if he didn't like taking orders...too bad. I highly doubted that he had any survival skills.

Ezra grumbled something uncoherent in Peter's direction, who the heck did he think he was?! He grabbed a few rocks, inspecting them...it looked like coal. He stayed close to Danae's side, worried about her and wishing he had the ingrediants. He had something to numb the pain and when she woke up, he was forcing her to take it...no matter if she wanted to or not. He took he hand and gave her a gentle squeeze. "Love you," he whispered.

Danae

So...ow.

I couldn't decide what hurt worse at the moment. My head or my leg. Considering the fact that my leg was all.. wrapped by something, it was probably my head.

Grimacing slightly I blinked, noticing Ezra like..holding me. "Um...hello." I croaked, going to sit up then stopping as my head spun and throbbed at the same time.

"....ow."

Ezra pushed her gently but firmly back down. "You hit your head when you fell," he explained, digging the pain-killer potion out of his pocket and handing it to her. He kissed her lips, "Lie still."
