Peter, Danae, and Ezra

Danae

Scowling slightly I all but threw the potion back at him. "I don' need that."

Attempting to sit up again I grimaced as the room spun, then bit my lip and shoved the feeling away. "What..." I began, then paused realizing we were missing someone. "Where's Peter?"

Ezra caught the potion, his mouth setting in a frown. Did it matter where Peter was?! "He went to go get stuff for a fire. Now take it or I'll make you," I said stubbornly. "Please Danae...let me help you for once."

Peter

I headed back to where we first arrived, carrying an armful and many pocketfuls of moss and lichen that I'd scraped off the walls of the cave. Pretty much the only things down here that would burn. I'd have to dry some of them out through heat first, but hey. Flammable stuff.

I'd also grabbed several stones because I figured that Ezra wouldn't do it.

I approached Danae and the lazy-ass I mean Ezra.

"Ah, you're up," I said to Danae, relieved. "How're you feeling?"

Danae

I scowled further, about to tell Ezra there was no why I would drink that, when Peter walked in.

"Fine." I lied, attempting to sit up again as my head continued to spin.

It wasn't that hard to think past the.. spinning..throbbing.. pain. Glancing back at Ezra for a moment I let the scowl come back to my lips. "And there is no freaking way you can make me take that thing. I don need it."

Peter

I frowned with concern. She said she was fine, but I had my doubts...especially because Danae usually lied about stuff like that. I also doubted that she'd give me a more truthful answer if I asked her again. Repressing a sigh, I knelt down near them and started to put some of the impromptu kindling into a pile. These were the driest ones; the rest I put into a separate pile to be burned later.

"Did you gather any rocks?" I asked Ezra, starting to arrange my own in a circle around the dry kindling. While I was certainly capable of making the fire stay in one place, I didn't want to have to constantly keep my attention on it.

Ezra nodded, still holding onto Danae. He puhed the rocks that weren't coal over in Peter's direction.

"All it is, is a pain-killer. It should get rid of any headaches or pain you may feel. I don't /have/ the ingrediants for a healing potion," he sighed, frowning at Danae. He shifted so she could lean against him and kissed her cheek.

Peter

There he went again... Had he no sense of decency? None at all?

"What about those rocks?" I asked Ezra, masking the awkwardness that I was currently feeling.

I took the ones he'd gathered and continued the circle arrangement, wondering to myself why he hadn't just given me all of them in the first place. Then I remembered that this was Ezra, and no one could possibly understand any of the things he did.

Danae

I wrinkled my nose at him and pulled back slightly to shake my head, sending another wave of dizziness though it as I did.

"I. Don't. Want. It." I told him firmly. "I'm fine. Besides, if I'm hurt then its halfway my fault anyways for stepping on whatever the heck I stepped on. So, therefore, I don't need the potion."

As the last word left my mouth I had my mind made up to show him I was perfectly fine. Pushing away my dizziness I sat completely up, and made an effort to stand.

""Whoa, slow down. No standing for you yet." Ezra said, gently but firmly pulling her back down. He wrapped his long arms around her waist to keep her from trying again. "At least sit." He looked back at Peter, "It's coal."

Peter

What...? That made zero sense. ...Oh right, Ezra. Of course. I got up, picked up one of the stones in question, and looked at it briefly.

"This isn't coal," I said. I proceeded to gather the rest of them and continue with the circle arrangement.

Ezra

I glared at Peter, and rubbed my tired eyes. Give me a break, there wasn't coffee and he expected me to think straight? I had been running on a low amount of sleep (he eventually crashes) for at least three days. Wait, this could be a problem...I began to pinch my hand...that would keep me awake but did it out of Danane's gaze, hoping she wouldn't see.

((Gh...Ezra wouldn't be having coherent thoughts if he were running on THAT little sleep. He'd pretty much be high as a kite.))


Peter

I finished the arrangement and lay my hand over it; the fire burst into life.

"We have to decide on a course of action from here," I said, getting straight to business. "First of all, we should allow Danae to rest. We can assess how well she is after that. During or after her rest, I think either Ezra or I should determine whether or not it would be feasible for us to dig our way out. Sound like a plan?"

Danae

I started to squirm, dizziness gripping my mind as I did. "I dont need-," i began, then broke off as I noticed Ezra's movement with his hands and glanced to the side, narrowing my eyes as I just watched him for a moment.

"What are you doing?" The words came out sharp, and I didn't really care about that. Why the freak was he pinching himself?

Ezra

I froze, and looked down at my hands. "N-nothing..." I mumbled, going back to what I was doing. Must stay awake....must stay awake....must...stay...awkake.

Peter

...And now Ezra was going loony. Great. Because that was just what we needed...

I cleared my throat.

"I said, sound like a plan? Please try to overcome your spontaneous bout of insanity for the purposes of us actually, you know, getting out of this cave."

Ezra

I glared at Peter, silently clenching my fists at my side. Who the hell was he to judge me? Didn't he, unlike I, get plently amounts of sleep? "/Excuse me/, your /highness/ for not living up to your expectations. It sounds fine with me."

Danae

I scowled, grabbing his hand and looking to Peter as I struggled to keep from passing out. The dizziness has turned into small black spots crossing my vision, but that didn't matter. I didn't need to rest, we needed to figure a way out.

I would be fine.

"I think...Ezra needs to rest. I'm fine though," I paused, searching for what I wanted to say. "Can you guys...try to get along?"

I glanced between the two of them and furrowed my brow. "If we want to get out of here... I think we're gonna have to get along."

Woah..lots of black spots. Maybe..no. I was fine.

Ezra

I frowned my brow, pinching my nose with the hand Danae wasn't holding to try and calm myself down. I held her hand in mine, giving a sigh and looking at her. "I'm fine...but you at least need to rest...you need it...your head...."

Peter

"You do need rest, Danae," I said gently, a shocking contrast from the businesslike tone I'd been using with Ezra. "Please."

Getting along...ha. What we really needed to get out of here was for Ezra to stop acting completely nonsensical. But hey, if he persisted with the nonsense, I could just as easily leave him behind. I could get Danae and myself out with no trouble.

Danae

I rolled my eyes, biting my lip as I decided to prove to both of them that I was fine.

"I don't need rest." I insisted, starting to pull away from Ezra to stand.

As I did the black spots got bigger, overcoming my vision and making me fall back down.

".......Fine.."
