Baylor Boarding School

Skylar: "Um." I watched one guy run to her. "I'm Skylar... you are?" I asked the boy. He acted like she was so fragile.

Ariella-I got up and pushed passed Adain. Looking towards Skylar. "Thanks."

Adain-I looked at the girl, whos name was Skylar. "I'm Adain." I smiled at her.

Skylar: "No problem." God. I was helping everyone today.... "Hi, Adain. You two know each other?"

Ariella- "Sadly yes."

Adain-I put my arm around her shoulders and she brushed me off. "Ariel..."

Ariella-"So Skylar, how old are you?"

Skylar: i stared at the exchange of contact. "Seventeen." OOOH maybe I could help them! I could have my own advice colum, for frik's sake! "What's going on...?" I asked, waving m index finger between them. I smiled slightly, so they would know I wanted to help

Ariella-What did she think was going on? "Uh, nothing."

Adain-My heart stopped. Even if i knew she was right, nothing was going on, i still wished there was. "She's just upset with me." I said odding towards the girl, i noticed her belly and smiled.

Skylar: My eyes widened. "Well maybe I can help? I've helped a couple people today, so I'm kind of on a roll." Why was he looking at my stomach? I pulled my shirt down a bit, wishing I had a hoodie to cover up the almost-nonexistant bump.

Ariella-I busted up laughing."Us? The only problem is Adain! If it wasn't for my aunt he woouldn't be here!" I looked at Adain. "I really wish you would have stayed with her." I had noticed Skylar, and her small bump. I handed her my hoodie. "You looked cold."

Adain-She laughed. The thought o.f us being together made her laugh.

((err she wasn't calling them a couple, she was sayig she helped a couple people, as in... a few people. But that's ok ))

Skylar: I took her hoodie gratefully. "Thanks. But still: Why's she upset?"

Adain-"It's over something silly and stupid. Our friendship is love/hate. I've known her all my life, and i've always been there for her. But she gets o mt nerves so much. Thats whats wrong." I looked at the girl. No one would ever truley understand.Maybe Tara was right we were 'emo', and should be labled as 'freaks'. I looked at Ariel, her face broke my heart. Why can't i just tell her. Why can't i tell her i love her?

Ariella-His words stung. It was true-he had always been there for me. "So skylar, wanna hang out sometime?" I asked.

Skylar: "Sure." I said brightly. "Hey, Adain, I think you're in my next class, want to walk there together?" I said nonchalantly, knowing EXACTLY how he was feeling.

Ariella-I walked off in search of a book.

Adain-I looked at her. "Sure, why not. Want me to carry you bag?" I was being a gentalman.

Skylar: "Thanks," i said with a smile, handing him my heavy backpack. It took a load off my aching shoulders. Once we were out of the library, i turned the corner and stopped. "Why don't you just tell her? My lord, Adain, it's so clear on your face!"

Adain-I was shocked. I wouldn't be surprised if my mouth was hagig open. "Wha-what are you talking about?" I asked even though i already knew.

Skylar: I rolled my eyes, which were alight with amusement. "You really like her! Why do't you tell her?"

Adain-I sighed. I couldn't lie Skylar. "I can't. If only it were that easy.Well first she doesnt like me, and second, i cant let my feelings get in the way of what i was sworn to do."

Skylar: I stared at him. "And what's that? Murder her?" I was joking, of course.

Adain-I looked at her staring into her eyes. "No. To protect her from the people the wannt to."

Skylar: WOW. "And who are they?"

Adain-"Whoever killed her parents.We're here." I nodded then sat down.

Skylar: "Damn..." i muttered. "But you do love her?"

Adain-I looked over to her smiling. "Ever since i met her." I saw her walk by the classroom. Our eyes met for the tinest second.

Skyler: I rolled my eyes. "How do you know she doesn't like you?"

Adain-I smiled at her. "She's made it clear to more than one person-she doesn't like me that way. She can be my best friend-and she is- sometimes ad thoes are my favorite moment. And others she hates me."

Skylar: I stared at him, no expression on my face. My eyes flickered over to Ariel for a millisecond before I turned abruptly and went to talk to her.
