Intro to Fame

Ava looked around to see no one volenteering to answer. The teacher sighs, "No one." He turns around writing on the board about Cleopatra. He launches into her life story begining first what life was like for her as a child. Ava takes notes listening closly since she knew little about the lady beside the fact she was married to Ceasar.

Zane continued to write notes, sighing under his breath. He wondered how long this class would last and if he'd be called on for any questions. His fingers itched to take out his camera and snap pictures, however this wasn't the time for that.

Ava wrote down the notes until the bell rang. She was glade she had lunch next. She could take more pictures maybe this time she could have inspiration. She needs to take a great photo by the end of the month otherwise she won't be able to apply for the scholorship. She grabbed her stuff heading outside.

Zane sighed in relief and headed out the door. He thought about writing and perhaps taking pictures would start his creativity. His group was at their usual table and hurried to join them.

Ava found a table away from people outside. She took out her camera and started to take picutre of the school, people outside, and some birds. She tried not to take much pictures of people since she feared they would think she was a stalker or some weird girl. Well they probably thought the last one.

Zane couldn't join the conversation, so he decided to try to write a small song, or even a poem to get his brain working. His friends always thought it was strange that he wasn't into sports, but he never answered why.

Ava took another picture this one of a group of girls. The girls caught her taking it. They walked towards her and they didn't look friendly. "What you doing taking pictures of us, freak? Just so you know I'm not a lesbo." People were now starting to stare. Ava just shrank back quietly hoping they would go away.

Zane heard some yelling and turned around to see a group of popular girls walking toward that girl from photography. Against his friends' protests, he went out and prepared himself to defend her as well as himself.

Ava didn't know what to do. The girls continued spouting insults. She tried to tune them out but it was hard since they were next to her. She could hear other people chanting girl fight behind them. She decided to say something, "Look I'm sorry I can delete it." The girls laughed, "The freak speaks."

Zane went outside, a dark look on his face. "You're one to talk." He hated people who thrived on attention and loved to insult people. "At least she'll have a job."

Ava flinched as a new voice joined the mix then she realized his words weren't aimed at her but at the girl who was the leader. She looked at the guy and recognized him from class. Why was he defending her? The girl was at first shocked then recovered, "A job stalking people maybe I doubt she will amount to anything. As for me well I am already set for life." She gave the guy a smirk.

Zane flashed back a deadly smile, an unfamiliar side to him. "Which is what exactly? You're not smart, obviously, and there's no way anyone would let you in with the way you're dressed. Leeches aren't welcome." He wasn't one to go around picking fights or defending people, but this group was getting on his nerve.

(It's okay. I will be gone all next week at a camp thing.)

Ava continued looking down but a smile flashed across her face at the insult. The girl who was picking on her looked baffled. No one had ever shown her up. She shot them both a glare, "I don't have to take this from a no body." She snapped her fingers and they left. Ava sighed in relief. She looked up at the guy who came to her aid. "Thank you so much."

Zane shrugged. "It's nothing. They really need to get a life." This wasn't normal for him, but the popular people had always gotten on his nerves.

Ava only nodded, she was greatful that he helped her out but she was still beyond nervous. Talking to people had never been her strong point but she tried with this guy. "There life is putting people down." She had been picked for a long time for not talking much so she knew girls like them.

Zane nodded. "They need to get over themselves. Well, I don't want to keep you from photography. Lunch is almost over anyway." He wasn't sure how to talk to this girl, since she didn't talk much. They didn't have much in common that he knew about, except for the photography class.

(Sorry I havn't been on. I got bakc Friday but then my internet was down.)

Ava smiled at him waving goodbye. It was the most she could really do. She didn't want to waste his time anymore. She went back to her camera looking at the pictures she took. When she got to the one of the girls she deleted it. A couple minutes later lunch ended. She picked up her stuff heading to Math.

Zane waved goodbye then went back to the table, where everybody was already gone. What friends they are. He picked up his things then headed to his Language Arts class.

Ava tried paying attention in math but the problems kept getting jumbled in her head. She could make heads or tails of what the solution was going to be. If this keeps up she is going to have to neeed a tutor. She tried harder focusing as the treacher does the problem. Ugh Algebra 2 is going to be her down fall.

Zane started on the essay that was going to be due in a week or so. They were being given class time, which was a rare case. Apparently the teacher had other things to do on her computer, so the students were left to do work. Zane was naturally in honors for his classes, but it was hard work. He went ahead and worked on the essay, not talking unlike some.

Ava could psychly feel her brain explode from trying to understand the problems let alone do them. She forged on though, by the end of class she was able to comprhend enough information to solve some of the problems. Will the others still laid lost to her. The bells rang, finally the last class for today.

Zane had finished most of the essay, but he had to revise and edit it several times. He almost cheered though when the bell rang. He was tired of school for the moment, so home would be easy. Zane collected his books and shoved them into his backpack.
