Andrea: Some of the girls look ready to argue, but start leaving anyway. I look towards the door and then look away, taking Ambrosia's hand. "C-c'mon," I say. "I heard we're having grilled cheese today!"

Ambrosia - "Yummy," i say going down to lunch.

Maryanne
I wince with Carter's yells, not able to help but think this was all my fault.

Carter: "Count out loud," the Devou says and I clench my fists. "Start over." She hits me again and I wince. "One!" I yell as loud as I can. "Two! Three!"

Maryanne
"Stupid dragon" I mutter, squeezing my eyes shut and tensing with every number. No...all my fault. A tear leaked out of the corner of my eye, but I wouldn't let Devou see me cry, so I quickly wiped it away

Carter: When I reach thirty, she let's me get up and points to Maryanne. "You, here. Lift up the back of your shirtand put your hands on the desk."

Maryanne
Then I do something stupid. Okay, that was to be expected, because I'm well...me, but this was probably a little bad even for me. I glared at her. Yes, I obeyed after about thirty seconds, but instead of being afraid, I glared. Then I walked over and did what she said, fury and hatred rolling off of me in waves.

Carter: If I wasn't in so much pain, I could almost smile at Maryanne. But te Devou looks more pissed that ever. She readies the belt and doesn't wait for the girl to get fully situated before she's in her. While my hits had been calculated and cold, hers were embedded with the woman's wrath. She goes past twenty five and my eyes widen. She's gonna beat her to death. The teacher starts trying to pull Devou away, and se elbows her to the ground. She stops at forty and glares at both of us. "Now both of you- go get cleaned up this instant! And after this, I want you both taking care of the dogs. No lunch, no dinner, nothing!" she yells as she storms out of the room.

(I'll have to go soon for an hour to pick up stuff for my sis. I don't know when we're leaving, but just so you know why I went MIA...)

Not sure if it was the pain, the hunger, or the fact I got three hours max of sleep last night, but I glanced at Carter, and whispered "Goodnight, Sir Oak" then collapsed on the ground

Carter: My eyes widen and I immediately go to get her. "Hey, Maryanne! C'mon, I'm not playing around now! Wake up!" I start shaking her and shaking her when I realize that I'm probably not doing anything but making things worse. I hurriedly run out of the room to fund Cassandra still unpacking her things. "Cassandra, come quick!" I yell as I grab her arm and lead her towards the door. When she sees Maryanne, her face looses all the color it had started to gain and she goes to pick up the girl. "Clear my bed!" she says. When she sees that I haven't moved, she turns around. I can see the tears starting to form in her eyes. "I said move it, now!"

My chest rises and falls with my subtle breathing, my my eyes remain closed. For once, I dream. The castle, flowers, the porcelain prince...the story swirls around in my head as if I were really there. My shadow self now has features, and the pink of her skin has started to recede to her eyes only. Then I see two men, one like the moon, and the other, the sun.

Cassandra: I hurriedly put the girl and start dogging around for gauze. Distantly, I hear a voice. "As I said, you are lucky to have death in your side." When I look up, I see Kore covered in golf and jewels, her dress made of delicate weeds. In her hands is a sythe. She smiles when our eyes meet and in an instant, she's disappeared. I frown and hurriedly grab the first aid.

Khonsu and Helios: "Oh look, brother. It's a little girl." "Yes, brother. It is." They both lean down and look at her. "Hey, we know you!" they say at the same time.

Ok, brb for what I said. Hopefully it won't take too long!

My shadow looks up at them, studying their strange faces. Instead of being frighted, I'm interested "Are you two from the castle?" She- or I, I guess, asks.

Ok, so Carter and her got in trouble, and they got whipped with belts. Right before it was her turn, though, she ticked off Devou, so she got hit extra hard, an extra amount of times. Plus she hadn't eaten all day, and got under three hours of sleep from her insomnia, so she passed out.

Back!!! Rejoice!

Ambrosia - I see Maryanne and scream a little. "Will she be ok?" I ask no one in particular.

Khonsu and Helios start to laugh. "Us? Why would we be captive in a castle. We are nomads!" theu say.

"So what else is out there?" I ask, gently touching the moon's arm to make sure he was real.
