"Not if you're going to lie again...but yeah, I would love to" I admit, hissing in pain as I turn to face her again

Ambrosia - "Oh which story?" I ask.

Cassandra: "Close your eyes," I say quietly. "And listen to the story I'm about to tell you. Once upon a time, there was a girl. Once upon a time there was a boy. Both of them knew this place as their one and only home, for they had long ago been sentenced to live their lives in solitude and punishment. They never knew eachother, they barely even knew that the other existed. But then, one day, the girl made her way up to te roof top in the middle of the night. She thought she'd be able to fly, fly across oceans and lands to find the family she knew was out there somewhere. Theu were just waiting for her. But the boy, suddenly consumed with insomnia, followed her up to the roof and tried to stop her. But when they accidently pushed eachother off instead, something...happened."

Ambrosia - I loved this story... it was her story.

I raise an eyebrow. Insomnia? But my eyes stay closed, imagining. My whole body tensed when they fell

Cassandra: "Was it fate that put them there that night? Was it coincidence? Neither of then would ever know. But when they opened their eyes again, they saw a sky swirling above them. They saw the shadow people as they observed them with their orb like white eyes. They saw the child king with his court of marionettes and the Deadened river. They even saw the sun and the moon. Are we dead, they asked. But no one could answer them. After what seemed like hours of wandering, they awoke to the feel of the sun in their faces. They were in front of their orphanage again, lying on the ground as though they had fallen asleep. But in their hearts was a shattering feeling, that of their hearts breaking. They agreed to never tell anyone about this and for a while after, things were beginning to turn bavk to normal. But both children were beginning to doubt everything they ever knew. And that's when the people they had sworn they dreamed about began to follow them into the open. They began to follw the humans, to observe them and beg the children to play. Open your eyes, Maryanne, and look around. If you still don't understand, then our story stops here and like the boy and girl, we'll be left to continue on with our lives."

Ambrosia - "I opened my eyes once," I say. "I don't regret it."

Maryanne
"Who was the boy?" I ask, my eyes opening, but knowing she asked me to do more than just that "What happened to him?"

Ambrosia - I smile around at all I could see. I wouldn't know what I would do if I couldn't see that anymore.

Cassandra: I wish I knew. But I don't allow the questions to stop my train of thought. The story needs to be told, but it depends on her how far it will go. "First, look around. Tell me what you see."

Ambrosia - Answer right. I think.

Sitting up, pain shooting through me but not caring, I scanned the room. Old, wooden walls and floors, rusty steel framed beds, old nightstands, a small, dirty window at one end...then I saw them "Whoa...wait..." Shock, then realization crossed my face "Those are the two from the dream!"

Ambrosia - I smile gleefully, "YOU SEE THEM!"

Helios and Khonsu: "Shush," they say as they put a finger to their lips. "We're hunting for that other kid, the one you said should be here." " What was his name? Wheelbarrow?" "Now, it was definately Box." "Hm." They put their fingers to their mouths and call out. "Hey, Box! Booooox?"

Cassandra: I let out a sigh of relief. "The world that you must've visited is called the Outside. That's Khonsu and that's Helios. And they're only the tip of the ice berg."

(Should I make the Outside accessble from the surrounding forest too somehow?)

Ambrosia - "They are also the most annoying," I wink at them

"I think they mean Carter" I laugh "So he'll be able to see you to?" I ask happily, then look at Cass, too excited to notice the pain still shooting through me "The Outside?"

Got to go, probably won't be on much, maybe at all, tomarrow but after tomarrow I may be on a little more than I have lately, it's been a weird week

Cassandra: "It was what Orion and I named the place..." I say softly. It'd become our sanctuary, the one place where the world had made sense. Khonsu and Helios stick out their tongues at Ambrosia. "What? We don't know the meaning of this 'annoying.' So obviously, we can't be annoying!" Carter walks in suddenly, a new cut going from his eyebrow to the top of hsi cheek. I grimace ad wave him over. She really had made him take care of the dogs... "Carter, are you all right? Here, let me take care of that." He starts to walk over when he spots his sandwiches and grabs the plate instead. He eats like a savage, shoving every piece down his throatas though it were the most delicious thing in the world. When he accidently catches my eye halfway through the second sandwich, he stops for a minute. "Sorry..." he says. I smile and reach for the first aid kit again.

Ambrosia - I shake my head when I see Carter. That women killed me, slowly, from the inside out. I always felt so much pain when I saw the kids hurt. What gave her the right to do that to us? I sighed and sat on the bed with the Twins, "Why does she do this?" I asked no one in particular.

"Oh Carter" I groan, seeing his cut "I'm going to kill that woman"

btw, I had an idea for a couple of outsiders

Carter: "Eh, screw it. It was the dogs this time around." I sit on the bed and yawn, one eye closed to keep out the blood. "For a woman who loves her dogs, she sure doesn't feed them often."

Name: Elli and Eliza
World(The Orphanage or The Outside?): Outside
Age: Almost as old as the Outisde itself, but they look about 17
Spieces if Outsider: Shadow toymakers
Appearence: They're twins, smoky grey shadows with barely distinguishable features (nose, mouth, ect). Elli has long hair that flows to her waist, and Eliza has a pixie cut. They're both medium height, and with a skinny build. They both wear aprons, Elli's is white, and Eliza's is silver
Short Bio: Nobody knows much about their orgins, but there are myths. Some say they used to be humans that came long ago, and gained immortality, putting so much of their souls into the toys that they were reduced to shadows. Some say they used to be twin demons, roaming the earth until their sentance was carried out, at which point their souls were cleaned and they turned to enchanting toys to delight children. Elli is the sweeter, trusting one with the sunny disposition, the one that invents the toys, and Eliza is the darker one. Eliza is cold when you first meet her, but she warms up over time. They live in a cottage, where they work also
