Carter: I start to move when Cassandra presses the antibacterial stuff to my eye. I his in pain but try not to pull away. "Other than blood? No, not really. Should I be seeing something?"

Jane: I wrap my arms around Raziel and pull him close. "He was touched by Cerberaus," says Raziel. "Look at his eye." When the kid blinks again after Cassandra's pulled away, the eye with the scar now has several red dots on it, the scar itself now a frail white. Cassandra frowns and looks at it under the light.

"I was there, Carter, I was..." Then I heard a voice, and turn to it "Wait, who's Cerberaus?" I ask, fear easily entering my tone. It didn't sound good...and his scar was looking worse...

I materialize, my form first a dark static, then clearing. "Jane, Raziel" I greet with a smile, then turn to see a face I hadn't seen in years "Cassandra of the Cannibals, I had heard you have returned, but I had to see it myself to believe! The shop has been so quiet without you" I laugh, then sober when I see the boy, and frown "Oh no"

Cassandra: I can't even bring myself to smile when I see Elli after so long. "Look," I murmur as I show her Carter. "I didn't think she'd try to claim someone as her's again. And after the kids had finally learned how to avoid her and her brother..."

Maryanne
Looking from Carter, to Cass, to the shadow lady, tears welled in my eyes "What?"

Elli
"Who is she?" I ask, glancing at the girl as I walk forward to examine the boy's cut "I could find Eliza, bring her back here...but you remember what happened the last time my sister and tried to stop Cerberaus"

Cassandra: I nod and frown. It was only becasue she's caged here that we were able to escape. Cerberaus, the face stealer... "These are some friends I'd like to introduce you to. Sorry I'm not in a position to do this formally, but that's Maryanne, that's Andrea, and that's my sister Ambrosia. His name is Carter." The kid frowns at the sound of his name. "Hey, Cass. You ok?"

"So everybody but the young boy...Carter, can see us?" I asked, tilting my head "That would be news to celebrate if it weren't for the circumstances"

Maryanne
"Pleased to meet you" I mumble "Carter, there are some people here, alright? And...I think they might be able to help you." A sob threatened my body as I examined my best friend, but I kept a straight face. Carter would never let me live it down if I cried for him

Cassandra: Carter frowns but I can see the cogs working in his head. "Please to meet you then. My name is Sir Newland Oaks. I see the sorceress has summoned the faeries for aid." I frown. So, I'd gone from a ventor to a sorceress? But he seemed to think it was a good thing. I stand up as his blood stained eye looks around. "Hey, Carter. We need to go back to the dogs. You'll need to come with us." He thinks about this for a moment before hoping off the bed.

"Hmm, he reminds me of a little girl that used to run around our shop" I laugh, but it's troubled. Cerberaus would not take this boy.

Maryanne
Oh geez Carter, I think with a giggle. Then I hop off of the bed and follow closely behind

Cassandra: My heart pumping in my chest, I lead them to the back and open the doors. The sun is almost blinding at first, but then I see it. A cage with a thousand chains on it, only visible to people who could see the outsiders. Three huge black dogs were running around the cage and they all stop to stare as we walk over. Suddenly, they begin to disintegrate into shadow and come together as a pale woman with shaggy black hair down to her feet and covering her blood red eyes. Her favorite mask. She smirks and I can see her pointed teeth. She suddenly lunges at the cage and licks her lips with her long tongue. "Cassandra..." she breaths. The air is filled with the sounds of her smelling me as she reaches through the cage and brings a piece of my hair up to her nose. "So you really are back."

"Who the heck are you, lady?" I ask brazenly, stepping forward "And what did you do to Carter?"

Elli
I glance at Cass. Foolish child.

Cassandra: I catch Elli's gaze and pull Maryanne back just as her arm swipes against the cage. "Cerberaus, why don't you show us what you really look like?" I ask. She smiles. "Why?" I look her directky in the eye and put my face close to the cage. "I'll give you my face," I murmur.

Elli
Alright, I was sure Cass had a plan. She always did, even from the time she was young...but that didn't keep me from wondering what she was thinking.

Maryanne
Oops, bad move. I stepped backwards, and looked at Cass. Give...whoever that was her face?

Cassandra: Cerberaus smiles and runs a finger along my cheek. "So quick to make deals, as always. What if I turn it down? While I've always wanted it, perhaps I've found something else to satisfy my needs..." I narrow my eyes. "Why did you pick Carter?" I ask suddenly. She smirks as her eyes wander to the boy. "Why not? I've always wanted him, ever since I first saw him. I was only claiming what was mine."

Maryanne
"Why him?" I ask, taking a step forward again, but staying out of her reach "Why Carter? Why do you want him?"

Cassandra: She turns to him and smirks, the one thousand chains clinging to her body jingling. The one hooked onto her lip moves the most as she smiles. "Because he is my master." I curse and grab onto the fence. "No he isn't! Your master is dead!" Suddenly, she throws herself onto the cage, finally in her true form. She's at least seven feet, covered from head to toe in thick black fur. But she's neighter human nor wolf, but somewhere inbetween. Several of her teeth protrude from her mouth and there are now three heads sitting at her shoulders. "Liar!" they all scream.

I took a step back, terrified. "What...the..." Carter? Master? And who was she, anyway?

Carter:....What? I look back and forth between Cassandra and Maryanne and then at the barking dog. I never knew they played so hardcore...oh well, I won't be outdone. "No, it is true. I am her master, brought back to life after years of wandering between worlds!"

Cassandra: My eyes widen as Cerberaus returns to her oter form and stares at him, frozen. "It's really you," she whispers. I look down at Maryanne and take her and Carter's hand. This is getting nowhere! "C'mon, let's go. And Carter- I mean, Sir Newland! Don't entice the monster!" I quickly usher them inside and Cerberaus starts screaming and pulling at her chains. I slam the doors closed and look a their confused faces. "So..." I start. "How about we see if we can bandage you up, hm Carter?" When he turns around and starts to walk, I catch Maryanne's eye. "Don't worry, I'll explain everything about Cerberaus in a minute."

Maryanne
Okay, so we were just going to let Carter think this was one big game?! "Alright" I whispered back "But I do think we should let him in on it, he can handle it if that's what you're worried about."

Cassandra: I sigh and run my fingers through my hair. Getting more people involved? Wow, I didn't even last a day sticking to my plan... Damn. "Fine, I'll do it. But I need to tell you guys this first, and lunch time is almost over."

Maryanne
I nod "Alright, what do you need to tell us?"

(Hmm...I'm thinking about starting another thread about murders who live in Las Vegas, the organization that handle them, the organization that opposed them, and the world that wanted them back. Sound interesting?$

Cassandra: I put my hands on her shoulders and look at her as howls start to sound from outside. "Whatever you do, don't go near her without me and don't let Carter go near her again. Cerberus has her reasons for doing things, and somehow you two have gotten caught up in it. But if Mrs. Devou makes you handle her again, take this." I put a piece of Wolf's bane in her hands. "And put it into her food. But not too much! Only a pinch."

I nod, pocketing the herb "I'll tell Carter it's another kind of monster bane" I whisper, grimacing "Lavender being the first"

Cassandra: I nod as the warning bell rings. After this, it was time for classes. "You two be good, alright?" I say as I wag my finger ay both if them. When they nod, I head downstairs to the broom closet of an office I'd been given.

Classes. Oh geez "Lets go, Sir Airhead" I mutter, grabbing his arm and towing him to the classroom

Carter: "Sir Newland, pink eyed monster. Although I hereby dub you "PEM" fir the rest if your existence. Pink eyed monster isn't very catchy." I walk into the room with her with the feeling that I'm being watched.

Jane: "Catching," I murmur as I sit on the boy's desk, looking at the marks on his eye. "The disease is catching. The blessing is spreading. Soon, these names will fade, leaving only normalcy."
