Then a strange smell wafts past my nose, and I sneeze instantly, light bumps appearing all over my arms "Alright, who's the wise guy with the lavender?" I hiss, looking around. Laughter sounds from the other side of the door, and retreating footsteps. The boys dorm. Luckily, the smell retreats to, and I return to my bed to sit on it, scanning the faces of the girls around me

The room checks just ended. Did you see some of the stiff we were talkig about would be in the Outside?

Ambrosia - I see the girl from yesterday and walk over to her, "How are you feeling?" I ask her with a friendly smile.

((No, I didn't see but I'll go look now))

((OH! I love the moon guy!))

Carter: I wave the lavender at the younger boys and wink. "And so, the monster has caught our scent. But we must bait her further if we hope for a fight. We must defend the honor of our fallen comrades!" The others nod and smile. "For the fallen!" I say. "For the fallen!" they repeat.

(Jst to let you know, his mom gave him a vert over active imagination.)

Andrea: My shyness makes me look away and I clutch the bunny a little tighter. "I'm f-fine," I say in a small voice. "Honest."

Ambrosia - I look towards the boy's dorm and roll my eyes. They're pestering Maryanne again. I try and comfort her, "Are you sure sweetheart?" I ask her. I was like a mother to most of the younger kids, including the boys.

Then I hear their distant chants, and I stand up, rolling my sleeves to my elbows "You wanna join 'em Carter?" I call, my voice menacing, but I was grinning.

Ambrosia - I laugh at them as I watch lovingly. I cared for everyone in the orphanage.

Carter: "If it means restoring the honor and sanctity of my clan, then I would gladly die!" I stand up and grab an umbrella. I figure we have ten minutes befor we absolutely have to start on chores. That's plenty of time. "Now, unholy demon, draw your weapon!"

Andrea: "Mhm." I bring the bunny to my mouth. "It really wasn't that bad."

Ambrosia - "Alright," I tell her, "come in here, I'm sure we have a show in store," I glance between Carter and Maryanne.

Maryanne
It sounded like he had drawn that stupid umbrella of his, and I opened the door he's been hiding behind, brandishing the rolling pin I had taken from the kitchen for this very purpose. Luckily I had planned ahead and done it on a day I knew I had kitchen duty, so I could return it later "You want to tango, Carter?"

Bio - Lived in the orphanage for as long as he can remember.

Ambrosia - I laugh at them and see James walk up to Andrea and me. "Andrea, this is James," I tell her.

James - "Hi," I smile down at her.

Carter: "Who is this 'Carter' that you speak of? I am Sir Newland Oaks, protector of the innocent! Now, get ready to face your doom!"

Andrea: I look up at the man and hide behind my bunny. "H-hello," I say through the bunny's ears.

"And I'm Lady I-don't-give-a-dang. Quite frankly, Sir Oaks, your name sounds like something out of a bad medieval drama" My name always carried a strange, untraceable accent nobody else in the orphanage had.

James - I lean against the wall beside Ambrosia and watch as Carter and Maryanne fight playfully. I shake my head teasingly at them, "Well Sir Newland Oaks, protector of the innocent, if you get hurt I'm not doing your chores," I tease.

Ambrosia - I correct James, "Oh yes he is." I nudge James with my elbow.

Carter: "Pfft, me die? Nonesense. By the end of this battle, you will fear the name 'Newland Oaks!" I bring my umbrella down in a battle stance. "I will finish this with only one blow!"

Ambrosia - I sigh, "One of these days their going to kill each other."

James - "Tell me about it," I wink at her.

Maryanne
I point my rolling pin in a battle stance also, "Maybe I will fear the name Newland Oaks sir, if I can ever get over how silly it is!" I say with a laugh, bracing for 'battle'

Andrea: I frown as I look at the fight that's brewing. Don't they know how much trouble they could get in for this? Suddenly, a very small younger boy runs up to Carter. "Sir Oaks, sir!" Carter's eyes slide to the kid. "SirJacob the Big, what is the meaning of your breathlessness?" "There's...there's a visitor, sir! A ghostly vector by the looks of her." He frowns and looks at the kid. "A visitor? One of us or one of them?" It was something he asked a lot, them always meaning the adults. The kid frowns as he breaths "them."

"I will accompany you, Sir Doofus" I tell Carter, putting my rolling pin in my belt. "To see what the intent of this vector might be"
