Joyce: "What would you see when you turned out the light?" I sing as Marshall hops off and and comes back with this funky guitar he said he'd stolen from someone grime Taos and his lens-less glasses.

"I can't tell you, but I know it's mine." I answered, opening one eye as Marshall returned "Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends, I get high with a little help from my friends, oh, I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends"

Marshall: I start strumming along. "A little help from my friends," we finish. The kids start to clap and I make a point of taking a huge bow and pointing to Jonas and Joyce for theirs. "Thank you, thank you!" I say. "We'll be here all night! And now for another verse!"

I grin and take a bow, then grab Marshall's ear and pull him off the counter "Hehe, funny Marshall. Goodnight everybody! Er... good afternoon.. or... whatever time it is"

Marshall: "Gah! Ow, ow, ow! I was just gonna suggest 'Michelle' or something. You guys know the words to that, right?" I pinch his cheek back. "You still owe me a niece and nephew and Joyce is cute. You guys could have some nice children, and yet here you are, wasting your time talking to me. Does it look like I'd even want to give you children?"

"Yes, I do know the words to that. Only french phrase I know, thank you very much... and did you really just say that?!" I hiss, looking around to make sure Joyce hadn't heard "If I kiss her bad things will happen. Very, bad things. She'll probably tell me to go die in a ditch somewhere, then move out of the country!" Alright, that was overexagerating, but still

Marshall: "Jonas," I say seriously. "She can't tell you to go die and move away. Move away and then die, sure, but you can't move if you're dead. Silly rabbit." I look over at her trying to rally up the kids to help clean with bribes. "And that's why you don't just fake her and make out with her. While that might work, you have to try to romance her first."

Jonas
"No, she would move! Seriously man, like, Paris or something crazy. And how exactly do I do that?! Honestly, do you think Joyce is the romantic type?! Flowers... I could get her flowers? Or chocolate? Girls like that, right?"

Marshall: "Joyce," I say. "Is wierd. She'll take the flowers and then forget to feed them or take the chocolate and either eat them all or share them with the kids. I'm afraid you have to kidnap her and take her on a crazy adventure."

"Would that really work?" Hm... it was so crazy it just might. It just might "Maybe... maybe a crazy, romaticish adventure would work... but you'd have to watch the kids" I point out

Marshall: "Um, Jonas, when's the last time you'd been able to start a crazy adventure? Nah! I'm taking the kids with me to play the puppetmaster of these shenanigans. Let's see, what could I say? 'Oh, Joyce! I promised Mat I'd take him to the park and now everyone wants to go. Do you mind going grocery shopping while we're out? I told Jonas what I need.'"

"This is going to go so badly, so incredibly badly... but hey, whatever. I'll just go along with it, because....well..." I ended it there. I had a secret fear that I had never told anybody, not even Marshall, and now was not the time to tell him about it

(Oh my goodness! Secrets...)

Marshall (who always seems to want to finish people's sentences.): "...because you know that the worst that could happen is that she turns out to secretly be married to an abusive midget male prostitute. Those things are freakish."

"Er... no. But let's go with that. Although Joyce doesn't really seem that type, you know? Anyway, what now?"

Marshall: "And now... We plan! Mwahahaha! Oh, how to distract you? Throw a stuffed animal in the middle of the street while you're driving? Rib the grocery store?"

Jonas
"Because I actually don't know what's going on... maybe you should just plot this, and I'll go talk to her for now?"

Marshall: "That's right, Jonas!" I say with tears in my eyes as I start to shake him. "You go get her! Because right now she's giving us the same look she use to give us when she thought we were gay. Go show her just how straight you are!"

Dude... if laughing adds ten minutes to your life span, this chat is going to make me immortal.

Ah, I remembered that, he had a point. I walked over to Joyce with a small smile "Hey Joyce, made any shirts lately?" That sounded lame. And not helping the straight thing. If Marshall had heard, I could practically see his disapproval. But what else was I supposed to talk to her about?

Joyce: "Hn? That was random," I say as I start wiping down the breakfast nook. "But I did make a coupl. Why, did you suddenly run into Betsy Johnson at the hospital?"

"Er... I actually don't know who she is... I was just wondering how that was coming along. Can I help you with that?" I ask, pointing to the mess Marshall and I made as I grabbed a rag

Joyce: "Oh yea, thanks. And their going fine for once. You guys' rallying has actually started inspiring my work. Maybe we could give away shirts to the supporters?"

I nod enthusiastically "That would be awesome, Joyce" First I started trying to get the paint off of the table where Marshall had been hiding... getting paint off of wood is just as hard as it sounds

Joyce:"Thanks," I say with a smile. I blow the hair out of my face and start scrubbing a wall. "I hope I'm not making you think I don't support you guys or anything..." I just wish I didn't have to worry about one of you coming home in a box.
