El Dia de los Muertos.

Rose: something about him changed. I decided to lie. I looked over the edge and pointed to a bloody body. "That one."

Apollo: I looked at her intently, Are you sure?

Rose: I nodded.

Apollo: I looked at her for a moment longer before smiling. He got what was coming to him.

Rose: good. He believed me. "You okay?" I said, changing the subject.

Apollo: I nodded, placing a gentle hand on her head. A bit tired. Yourself?

Rose: "I'll live." I said, and looked at the city. It was peaceful. "And the city is all good. For now."

Apollo: I sat down, watching it. What shall we do now, then?

Rose: "I have no idea." I was a little mad at myself. I had put him in danger. And I felt bad. "Thank you for saving me. I'm sorry I put you in danger." I said sheepishly.

Apollo: I looked at her, a little surprised. Then I laughed. Rose...I've been in worse situations, even before the Plague. You have no need to apologize over something so small, I can take care of myself. And you're very welcome. Anytime you need my help, just yell, all right?

Rose: I blushed. "Still doesn't change the fact you were in danger because of me." I laughed lightly. He always made me feel at ease. "But okay. If I need help, I'll yell." I smiled.

Apollo: I frowned at her persistence. Rose, I ASKED to come with you and help of my own free will...how is that because of you? I sighed, running a hand through my hair and smiling at her again. OR if you just want some company from the 'Flute Boy.' I laughed.

Rose: "well, that is true." I mused. "And you're not Flute Boy anymore. You are Apollo. I only called you that because I didn't know your name." I laughed, failing epicly at seriousness. "How old are you?" I asked.

Bummp?

Apollo: I nodded, smiling. Twenty years old, soon to be Tweny-one. I told her.

Rose: twenty. Almost twenty one. That's technically three, four years older than I was. "I was 17 when I died." I said aloud.

Bump.

Apollo: I nodded thoughtfully, My brother was sixteen, his daughter just four months. The mother left, afraid of commitment. Not certain if she died.

Rose: so that was who those two were. I thought Elizabeth was... well something that wasn't a baby. "That's stupid. Why would a girl leave her own daughter?"

Apollo: I stared off into the distance. She was young, desired her freedom more than a family; the opposite of my brother. A sad smile took my lips as I fell off into memories of a different time and place. Vincent could be no more than a child himself at times, but he wasn't a fool, even for being so young. He knew what he wanted for himself, and he wanted a family with her. When she left, he wasn't the same little brother I had before. But Elizabeth had became his entire world. She was such a happy child with a smile that could light up the world. Her laugh was a sound that could make your heart flutter. She was beautiful, Rose. Absolutely beautiful.

Rose: I smiled. "You must have really cared about them."

Apollo: I nodded as I looked at her. Very much, I smiled. I would have enjoyed being a father if it meant being able to hold a child as wonderful as Elizabeth in my arms. I laughed, waving the thought away. Sadly enough, I never was able to find love with anyone. Women...repelled me. Or I repelled them. I smiled sheepishly.

Rose: "welll, you don't repel me. And I don't think I repel you." I smiled.

Apollo: I smiled, I'm happy for that. To have such a lovely woman tolerate someone as strange as myself.

Rose: "you aren't strange at all. You're different. And I like different. The way you're different is sweet, and just all around perfect." I smiled up at him.
