Marlo: I have to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from frowning. Rizzo is going to look for the fountain too? And with his resources, it will only be a matter of time before he finds the map and the pieces. I look around the room, determined to find Armand. But it's no use in such a rowdy crowd and my efforst only result in me stepping on a pair of designer stilletos.

Avril: I glare down at my toes, which someone just stepped on, but when I look up I put on a slimey smile. "Well look who it is, it's been quite awhile, Marlo."

I don't think they should get along, they seem a little similar. So maybe they were rivals for something? *gasp* Maybe rivals for the St. Jane founder guy, or whoever it is that Marlo's with? *gasp* And then that would explain why Avril owned a St. Jane necklace?

Marlo: My heartbeats become so erratic that I think it might explode. But I meet her eyes nonetheless, even smiling a bit. "Avril," I greet. "Indeed, it has."

Avril: "How have you been, and how's {insert what-his-face's first name here}?" I grabbed a shot from a passing server, and gulped it down.

Marlo: "Dante is doing very well, thank you," I say calmly. "His latest collection was quite a success and he has never been happier. And because my husband is happy, I am as well."

Avril: I stiffened 'her husband'. "I'm sure you are. Because you really do love him. You're not just using him for money, or fame. Not at all." There was a hint of sarcasm in my voice, but not enough that she could call me out on it.

Marlo: "Of course not," I say easily. I sit down at a chair and cross my legs. "And I hope one day, you may know the same feeling. What is your boyfriend's name again? Jake?" I ask, purposely saying her last boyfriend's name. Such a messy break up.

Avril: I scowled. "You know damn well I'm not with Jake anymore." In fact I was single now, dedicated to the LeVoy business. "Some of us actually work, instead of sitting around like whores while our rich husbands slave away."

Marlo: "How rude," I sigh. "I was only making light conversation. No need to bare your fangs. Besides, I thought I told you the day before he proposed that he's yours if he wants you. But then, I suppose he didn't, did he?"

Avril: "We both know he picked you because you slept with him first." I hissed.

Marlo: "Because he asked. If you sleep with one man, you've slept with all of them. Maybe you'd be the one kissing him goodmorning everyday if you had done the same."
