Russel stared at the ceiling. The blank, boring, monochromatically worse-than-watching-paint-dry ceiling. So...bored...he suddenly hopped out of bed and out the door, meanering through the crowded halls. Time to find some entertainment.

Lila popped out of her dorm, slinging her messenger bag - decorated with pins from different countries she'd visited - over her shoulder, and fixing her lavender-colored beret over her straight blond hair. The accessories might have seemed dorky on others, but she carried herself in such a way that no one questioned her fashion choices. She was popular, and not in the fake, stereotypical way. People actually liked Lila.

Hehe...opposites. People hate Russel.

Russel spectated the people all around. He could catagorize them easily: the outcasts, the wannabes, the populars, the nerds...the list went on. He proudly sauntered around them as he eavesdropped and inspected. He was proud, which is a hard thing to be when you have nothing to be proud of but a painstakingly achieved bad reputation. Well, not yet, but he would get there. Why be popular when it's so much more fun to watch people tick? His eyes landed on a blonde who's outfit looked like it had been barfed on by a rainbow, beret and all.

Lila felt eyes on her, not that many weren't already, and glanced over. It was some guy, she couldn't quite remember his name, but she recognized her face. She smiled at him then turned away to keep walking, friendly as ever.

Russel's sly smile widened slightly in greeting, but then looked away. Optimist. Popular. Socialite.

(Hmm, how should this go down? I don't think Russel would be the type of guy to pounce unless he sees something brewing. He just kind of blends into the background )

Hmm...although I think it would be funny if Lila ruined Russel's bad reputation. Like, he accidentally gets Lila to think of him as a great guy, and she blabs about how great he is to other people XD Maybe Lila gets in some form of trouble, and Russel is the reluctant hero? XD
