"Once again we missed the door..." Cecelia grumbled.

"We'd have to get out of these prison cells first to get to that door, Cecel," Quint snapped at her. "Give it up!"

Black&White wrote:Maka looked over to him, not really processing his words. "What...do you mean?"

"They're short staffed, it's apparent. Do you think they'd object to having more scientists?" Denver was still trying to decide if this was a good plan himself.

"Shut up!" Cecelia stuck her tongue out at Quint.

"Y-You're going to....to join them?" Maka said astonished. "But you can't Denver! We should stick together, shouldn't we?"

"Maybe you should and actually see the facts!" Quint snapped at her. Why was he yelling? This wasn't his nature. He almost never yelled... but for whatever reason he hated her challenging him like that.

"I have the intellect to be one of their scientists, and maybe...well, we're being watched, but I have more ideas..." Denver was vague on purpose.

Maka
"But, Denver, you can't! You just can't! What would we be without you? You can't!" I move to stand from the bed and go over to the bars between us but i fall to the tiled floor. My legs don't want to work and they hurt. I'm achy and it hurts. I break down and cry.

"I don't even know you," Denver inched away from her, even though bars already separated them. Was she mentally unstable or something?

Maka
I crawl away, under the bed and whimper. I'm weak, i'm scared, my legs feel as if i've just ran a few dozen miles and yet i can't move them. "It - It hurts..." I hiccup out past the sobs.
Quint
I look over to the girl in the cell next to mine, glare at Denver. I stand and walk to the bars between us. "Hey, Maka. An adventure, remember? Exciting. say it."
"Ex...citing..." she murmurs after me, though she doesn't want to believe it she just says it to convince herself. I don't know what else to do to help her.

My eyes open slowly. My head... pounding... I try to lift it, but fail the first time. What was this place? What had happened to me?

Hey, my characters are going to pop in, too, okay?
Isëlle:
I woke up. In a cage. My eyes darted back and forth, back and forth. There was a girl curled up in the cage next to mine. I half-wondered if she was dead, but then her shoulders rose and fell signalling that she was unconcious.

I look over to the girl that had suddenly woken up. Well, she missed orientation but the guards had left her a packet of her own on the table next to the bed.

"I wonder what animals we're going to be," I interrupted the drama unfolding around me with my random thought.

Isëlle
I was still scanning the room. I saw someone glance at me(Quint). I narrowed my eyes. "What is this place?" I asked.

Leila
I saw a packet of information nearby, but my eyes had trouble focusing on any one thing. My cage was between two others, a girl's, and a boy's. The boy was propping himself up against the side of the cage, looking dazed, and the girl was just waking up as well

Quint
"We're in a lab," i say. Let's go with low impact first... "And...i wouldn't really advise going through those packets just yet." Maka still whimpered besides me.
"Spots..." She whispers.
"You seeing spots?" i ask her. She runs a hand over her calves. She was literally getting very light spots appearing on her skin.

Leila
"Lab?" I ask, my voice shaky as I tried to sit up "You're bloody kidding me, right? This is some sick dream, I knew I shouldn't have taken those new meds before bed..."

Quint
I stare at the spots a moment. "I'm afraid this is pretty real..."
"Exciting," she murmurs to herself again. "I'm...getting spots...And it's exciting..."

Isëlle:
What was the girl doing? Was she alright? For being locked in a cage I mean. I hear a whimper beside me, and see the girl has woken up.
Sapphire:
I blink open my eyes. Where am I? For one brief moment, I forget who I am and panic. Then I remember. My name Is Sapphire. I turned fifteen two weeks ago, I live with my parents and twin sister Emerald, and my cat, Granite. We are into Geology, and it is reflected in our names and lifestyle. I automatically reach for my sapphire necklace, but it is gone.

I get the packet from the table beside the bed. Through the protests of Quint i flip through it. Spots... Snow leopards has spots... "I'm going to be a...leopard...exciting..."
